Hello Castaways! It's the time to reveal your scores for the 6th Round of the game. The results and scoring will work exactly the same as previous rounds.
Let's get started...
Puka Puka

1. TheSeenScene - Spice Girls - Wannabe
Quote:
Dillon - 10 - The Spice Girls are so perfect. If you chose anything other than "Wannabe" I would have dragged your ass to the pits of hell. It literally was #1 basically everywhere. There are other songs people could associate with The Spice Girls but this one takes the cake. You ran in here to submit this and many others wanted it as well....but you got it. Perfect.
Quote:
Ray: 10. “Seen I can imagine you rushing to Dillon’s inbox everytime a round is announce to submit this kinda entries. It would be silly to me to even consider giving this a score other than a 10. The Spice Girls are one of the biggest girl groups of all-time, and Wannabe is their signature song. Two perfect scores in a row from me Seen, you’re on a roll!”
Quote:
Anna - TheSeenScene - 10 - obviously iconic song. whenever the 90s come up somewhere, this is one of the first things people think of, even if they didn't grew up in that decade. it's also the Spice Girls' most famous song so well done.
Quote:
Alexz - 10 - Not only they are best-selling female group of all time, but also one most memorable acts from the 90s, and that's what this round is about, memorable hits from memorable bands, who doesn't know who the Spice Girls are? Who doesn't sing along every time Wannabe comes on the radio?
2. MWB - TLC - Waterfalls
Quote:
Dillon - 7.5 - This is the only song I know from them. other than No Scrubs. This song was the best choice for TLC but I highly doubt TLC's existence will be remembered even in my generation. Destiny's Child would have worked out better for you honestly. OK choice.
Quote:
Ray: 9. “Oh MWB, you don’t know how much I love TLC. Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes is one of the reasons I liked female rap in the first place. TLC as a group slays my life, but I would’ve loved to see “No Scrubs” as an entry. Waterfalls is a flawless song as well, but No Scrubs is a bit better in my opinion, still both are arguably their best songs.”
Quote:
Anna - MWB - 6 - this is a great song and I also think it's pretty well-known, it immediately comes to mind when you think of TLC. however, I think No Scrubs would have been the better choice here because it was even more memorable. another thing is that I'm not quite sure how well TLC will be remembered/known by generations that didn't grow up with them.
Quote:
Alexz - 9 - Great choice this round! Their most memorable single.
3. AdamAL4 - Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way
Quote:
DillonATRL - 10 - This was exactly what I was looking for. This immediately comes to mind when you think of the Backstreet Boys. Everyone knows of this song and deep down they secrely love it. It's their signature song and there's not much else I can say other than perfect entry Adam!
Quote:
Ray: 7. “You’re probably gonna get a lot of tens from the other judges so I’m pretty sure this won’t affect your average. This song to my personal taste was too cheesy but it’s one of the BSB’s signature songs, along with Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”
Quote:
Anna - AdamAL4 - 10 - kinda like the Spice Girls, the Backstreet Boys stand for a whole decade, and this song stands for BSB. they will be remembered for a long time and this is one of their most popular and successful songs.
Quote:
Alexz - 10 - One of most memorable songs (if not THE most memorable) from them, I didn't knew how much of a phenomenon they were they in the 90s until some weekS ago when someone posted that they sold like 3M albums in a week , anyway...this is obviously a great entry from this round!
4. BlazingLovatic - The Sugababes - Push the Button
Quote:
Dillon - 6 - Sure, this is probably their biggest single with the stats. However, I really don't know who they are other than that time Miranda Cosgrove covered About You Now These girls aren't very well known. I think there were a lot of choices this round and this is very average. Sorry arjun.
Quote:
Ray: 6. “Let me start by saying this, we as ATRLers pretty much know who the Sugababes are, but to be completely honest with you, I don’t believe they’re a globally known group as the Spice Girls are, for example. The fact that Push the Button is a flawless song doesn’t means that the Sugababes are that well-known internationally.”
Quote:
Anna - BlazingLovatic - 5 - Idk.. the Babes were pretty big at some point, but no one talks about them anymore nowadays. I also think the song itself is pretty forgettable, the songs from their debut were more memorable and unique for me.
Quote:
Alexz - 5.5 - I honestly don't know who they are, but judging by the stats of the song it really was their most memorable and successful song, but I believe there's more memorable groups and songs that could have give you a better score.
5. Jolie's Lips - Abba - Dancing Queen
Quote:
Dillon - 10 I always think of Miss Congeniality when I hear this It's in so much films and commercials that it has to be remembered. I'm not familiar with the rest of their material but they have had other hits in their discography. This was one of the most creative choice this round! Great job!
Quote:
Ray: 10. “You’re finally back Jolie! I know how you take your entry’s back on every round, but here you won’t have to do that, as Dancing Queen has been an anthem for years, and it’s obviously Swedish group ABBA’s signature song.”
Quote:
Anna - Jolie's Lips - 10 - one of the greatest songs of all time, a piece of music history. ABBA and their impact will live on forever. perfect choice for this round.
Quote:
Alexz - 10 - Such an iconic band, "Dancing Queen" is probably one of my favorite songs from them, and the fact that it was released 2 times as a single talks of how much success the song had back in the day! Both the song and of course, the band are still memorable and will always be. Last round wasn't your strongest one but this round I think you did amazing!
6. Middle of Selena - Evanescence - My Immortal
Quote:
Dillon - 4 - They really aren't a band everyone is going to remember. If you were going to choose a song by them, I would have submitted Bring Me To Life. I don't think they even have enough creditability to be even submitted into this round Dhruv. Not a good choice this round. You're really hot and cold with your song choices.
Quote:
Ray Bass: 6.5.. “When judging My Immortal, one has to wonder if Evanescence has done enough to be considered a great band. Their recent music has flopped critically and commercially, so there’s doubts in the air about it. My Immortal is a masterpiece of a ballad, and arguably their best song, it’s just the group’s status what bothers me as of now, as as contrary to the round’s instructions, they’re STILL MAKING music, and not in a hiatus, they’re just not successful anymore.”
Quote:
Anna - Middle of Selena - 5 - this song is flawless and I'd say it's the most popular Evanescence song, along with Bring Me To Life. but I think it would have been better to choose a band that has been around for a bit longer.. I feel they have already faded a bit and I don't know if they will be talked about among future generations.
Quote:
Alexz - 7 - This band doesn't compare to all the other iconic and submitted bands on this round, but still...they had some success and "My Immortal" was definitely their most memorable song, powerful lyrics with a haunting melody, and the way Amy Lee pours her heart in the song makes it even better.
Salani
1. iLukey - Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Quote:
Dillon - 10 - Basically this whole tribe kicked ass but SLTS is a classic and it's definitely Nirvana's signature song even if you're not particularly a fan of it. You are shaping up to have a very consistent average in the game. Great choice as usual
Quote:
Ray: 10. “Lukey, you and you’re choices are taking the tribe’s honor to the very top. SLTS will always be a Grunge-music classic, and it’s one of the most successful hits from the 90’s, and as expressed by the very own Kurt Cobain – Nirvana’s signature song. Excellent.”
Quote:
Anna - iLukey - 10 - this band! this song! when I saw the theme, this immediately popped into my head as what I would have sent. Kurt Cobain captured the attitude of a whole generation back then, and the great thing is people can still relate to it today, and people will be able to relate to it in the future because it's timeless. what a legend.
Quote:
Alexz - 9 - I don't really know a lot about this song, Nirvana or Kurt Cobain since I was a baby when they released this song, but judging by my research this song was their breakthrough song and also the most memorable one. Great job this round!
2. Adr - Guns n Roses - Sweet Child O Mine
Quote:
Dillon - 10 - I used to blast the **** out of this on Guitar Hero I mean who doesn't know this song? It's perfect and it's the one song of their discography (which is impressive) that I would have chosen if I were in your place.
Quote:
Ray: 10. “Just the intro of Sweet Child O’ Mine is a reminder on how this is one of the biggest classics of Rock music. Slash’s solo is memorable, and Axl’s vocals made this an incredible step to Guns n Roses’ successful career. Adrian you’re back on track!”
Quote:
Anna - Adr - 9 - Guns N' Roses are among the classics in the rock music world so yes to them. I'm not so sure about the song, but it could be just me because I don't know a lot about their discography. it was definitely their biggest hit so a lot of people must know it, even if they don't listen to them.
Quote:
Alexz - 9 -The epic guitar intro is everything, such an incredible power ballad from one of the most memorable bands form the 80s, definitely their signature song.
3. Stevie - Blonide - Call Me
Quote:
Dillon - 9 - I was going to give this a 10 but I really think Heart of Glass would have been the right choice even though I personally prefer Call Me. But as you can see, you're still getting a high average this round. Nice choice Stevie.
Quote:
Ray 10. “Salani you’re slaying my poor little soul. Three 10’s in a row for you guys, you clearly understood what this round was about. Call Me is probably one of my absolute favorites from the 80’s decade. Stevie a flawless entry!!”
Quote:
Anna - Stevie - 9 - one of the most popular 80s bands, they were pioneers at that time and still influence many artists today. I probably would have chosen Heart of Glass, I think that's their signature song, but still, great submission.
Quote:
Alexz - 8 - I would have picked "Heart of Glass" instead since I think that is their most memorable song, but this is still a good choice.
4. nezlaos - Led Zepellin - Stairway to Heaven
Quote:
Dillon - 9 - An Iconic song. I don't really like their music but that's alright since the majority of my judging goes towards if you get the theme right which you did. This may be your last entry nez
Quote:
Ray: 9. “I know this is iconic, and I know I should give you a 10 nez for sending this safe choice, but I’m not a fan of Led Zepellin’s music. Iconic enough though for you getting a great score from me.”
Quote:
Anna - nezlaos - 10 - oh look, it's one of the greatest (rock) songs of all time! this song is an anthem with an incredible impact on people, it has been like this for 30 years and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Led Zeppelin are legends.
Quote:
Alexz - 10 - This song is a one step of the stairway to the Survivor final. Memorable at its best. Still impressed at the songs length.
5. johnrm - The Beatles - Hey Jude
Quote:
Dillon - 10 - Damn, someone made a comeback! Last Round was a disaster but this round you came back strong and you did nOT play it safe. The Beatle have a lot of choices for you and you chose one of the best songs. GREAT. The improvement is appreciated.
Quote:
Ray: 10. “Talk about a recovery John… from that disaster of last round, you managed to stay on the island to send one of the best songs of ALL-TIME. You sent the best song from one of the best music acts of all-time. One must be clearly delusional to give this another score.”
Quote:
Anna - johnrm - 10 - if The Beatles aren't the perfect entry for this round then I don't know who is. one of their most known songs, too. flawfree.
Quote:
Alexz -10 - With the Beatles it's so hard to choose one memorable song because they have a lot! But "Hey Jude" is a wise and strong choice, people say Paul wrote this for John's son who at the time was facing his parents divorce with only 5 years old, this talks of how great and selfless person was Paul. No wonder why they are the most popular band of ALL the time.
6. Outlaw - Queen - We Will Rock You
Quote:
Dillon - 10 - You are one of 2 who chose Queen. I think you got the right choice as not many people know any lyrics of Bohemian Rhapsody. This is played everywhere whenever a victory is near. It's just an anthem that I think everyone knows, 21st century born kids.
Quote:
Ray: 9. “Same thing as Nez, this is so iconic people still sing along at stadiums and big competitions, but I was never a fan of Freddy Mercury’s music. Still, iconic enough for me to give you a great score Outlaw”
Quote:
Anna - Outlaw - 10 - this is an essential piece of music and the definition of iconic. Queen are a must for every rock fan, no matter when they were born. they have left their mark and it will remain forever.
Quote:
Alexz - 10 - Another amazing and memorable UK Band, you are one of 2 people who submitted a Queen song (Bohemia Rhapsody/SyntaxError). I think Queen is also a band, along with The Beatles, who has a lot of memorable hits, "We Will Rock You" being one of them and in my honest opinion their most memorable one, catchy, iconic, who doesn't get the chills with the beat and the claps?

1. DripDrip - Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance
Quote:
Dillon - 4 - FOB had like five hits and only 2 of them were even "smashes". Those two were Sugar We're Goin Down and your choice, But if the bands not memorable, how is this song supposed to keep their name relevant? Pete's ex wife is his claim to relevance and she;s not even relevant. This was just a mess.
Quote:
Ray: 4. “Oh Drip, I’m really not sure if Dance, Dance is the biggest hit from Fall Out Boy’s career, as I can easily recall Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down and This Ain’t A Scene first. Ignoring that, I’m not even sure if Fall Out Boy are that big overall for them having a signature song and being that big that generations further ahead will remember them.”
Quote:
Anna - DripDrip - 5 - I love FOB so much, but I don't think they were a good choice for this theme. while they have definitely had an impact on the pop punk scene and many current bands cite them as their influence, I don't think they were ever really relevant (apart from the US perhaps) and will be remembered in the future outside of their scene. until they come back from their hiatus to change that, I can only give you this average score, sorry.
A
Quote:
lexz - 5 - I don't find this band memorable, and to be honest this is the first time I hear the song, and while I applaud you for taking the risk of submitting a rock punk band, I really think this wasn't a strong choice since the band wasn't that successful.
2. iggie45 - Simple Plan - Welcome to My Life
Quote:
Dillon - 3 - They were never a household name. This song is the song I remember most from them but that's not saying much considering their duet with Natasha Bedingfield was the day I remembered they were still breathing. Not a good choice and you have been falling harder and harder each round. Bounce back to the top iggie.
Quote:
Ray: 7. “Both you and Jack chose Simple Plan, a band who I can’t simply imagine being remembered on the following generations, but I’ll give you the edge Iggie since I sincerely think Welcome To My Life is a better and more ‘famous’ than Shut Up was.”
Quote:
Anna - iggie45 - 1 - oh dear. I don't think this is a song everyone remembers, most people - including me - probably don't even know it; I wonder if the general public even knows who Simple Plan is. I only do because I'm into the genre they're in. they won't find themselves in any Rock Hall of Fame so I don't quite know what they're doing here..
Quote:
Alexz - 7 - Simple Plan is one of the few Pop-punk bands I stand from my teenage years, I do remember this song and it did great worldwide, not the best choice since this round I think picking the obvious choice was the best move, but still, I give you props for sending a pop punk band.
3. Jack. - Simple Plan - Shut Up!
Quote:
Dillon - 3 - Simple Plan are already forgotten with today's generation. Cute song. This is going to sound rude but for someone who reads so far into the rules of each round, it didn't show. Sorry Jack.
Quote:
Ray: 6. “As I explained above, I think WTML has the edge over Shut Up in the most remembered song from them, but I don’t actually agree on Simple Plan being an actual great band to begin with.”
Anna - Jack. - 1 - see above.
Quote:
Alexz - 6 - Not their most memorable song, and "Welcome To My Life" and "Perfect" would have been better choices, plus the band isn't that memorable either. I love the music video tho.
4. nills - Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Quote:
Dillon - 7 - So let me explain each score you go from the judges is -1.5 from what they actually gave you which is sad because you did a good job! This is by far their biggest and best song and even though they are still releasing music, it's more of a thing for fans and not for success. One of the better choices of this tribe.
Quote:
Ray: 8. “Nills, it’s such a shame you missed the deadline because you probably sent one of the best songs this round by sending Green Day’s signature song BOBD. One of the best rock songs from the past decade, you would’ve gotten a near-to-perfect score had you submitted on time.”
Anna - nills - 8 - I wish I didn't have to subtract from your score because you missed the deadline, you wouldn't have done so badly. Green Day are definitely a big name in punk rock and even beyond that. I think people will remember them and this song as well.
Quote:
Alexz - 7 - The most memorable American punk rock band of all the time imo, wth 65 million records sold worldwide, quite impressive! This song peaked at #2 on Hot 100 but still a massive hit for them and definitely their most memorable song. 1.5 points taken off for submitting it after the deadline.
5. SyntaxError - Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Quote:
Dillon - 9.5 - I would have chose We Will Rock You but really both of them are enough to be considered their signature songs. Both songs are just iconic period.
Quote:
Ray: 9. “Same thing with We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody is a song that’s being remembered for decades, and even though I’m not a Queen fan, they’re definitely iconic, and so is this song. Nicely done Syntax!”
Quote:
Anna - SyntaxError - 10 - Queen are one of the must-choose artists for this round, I'm glad you realized that. this song is iconic, just like We Will Rock You.
Quote:
Alexz - 9 - Freddie Mercury is a musical genius and this song is proof enough of that, great lyrics solely written by him and the production, while sharing credits with Ray Barker, its experimental at its best...ballad, guitar solo and Opera vocals, an amazing combination. In my honest opinion "We Will Rock You" is slightly more memorable than this, but still, a great song!
6. ImARudeBoy - Aerosmith - I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing
Quote:
Dillon - 10 - Best choice off your tribe for sure. It's by far their biggest song. It was used in the Soundtrack Round but that doesn't really matter. Next time, try to stay away from songs that were already used. Great job Dannny!
Quote:
Ray: 10. “RudeBoy you came in here and saved your tribe’s ass by getting this masterpiece of a song as your entry. Clearly Aerosmith’s signature song, and an iconic song from Armageddon and the 90’s, you hit the mark once again. Flawless.”
Quote:
Anna - ImARudeBoy - 8 - Aerosmith and this song are legendary, yes, BUT. the song has been used in this game before and got the perfect score, it was obvious you couldn't go wrong and thus an easy choice for you. that's too safe for my liking. there's plenty of songs out there that are also guaranteed 10s but would have shown more effort and consideration on your part.
Quote:
Alexz - 10 - I remember this song was submitted by Adr during the Soundtrack songs round and he got a perfect score, maybe you can get it too?, such an amazing and memorable song by one of the best-selling American rock band of all time, just like I said before, I think this song is one of the best songs ever written.
7. MusicLoverDude - Hoobastank - The Reason
Quote:
Dillon - 1 - They are a ONE HIT WONDER which makes this entry pretty sad. Did you eve look up their discography? Obviously this song takes the cake as their most iconic single when it's their only one anyone actually knows of even when they were "relevant". What happened MLD? This was a huge letdown from the last couple rounds.
Quote:
Ray: 1. “Ryan you were doing so great these last two rounds… I gave you two perfect scores for Inevitable and Survivor, I thought you we’re gonna keep the streak. The Reason is a great song, yes, but Hoobastank are probably the least-iconic band from all of the entries as they’re a ONE-HIT wonder, that hit being, The Reason. So no matter how good the song may be, you chose a wrong band to represent. Sorry.”
Quote:
Anna - MusicLoverDude - 6 - this is kind of a dilemma.. the song is amazing and I bet many people remember it, but I am under the impression that Hoobastank are considered a one hit wonder. I can't think of any other memorable songs they've released or impact they had that would make them anything more than that. however, being remembered as a one hit wonder also guaranteed them a spot in the books of music history so I guess it could have been worse.
Quote:
Alexz - 6 - I used to hate this band and song back in my teenage years for no reason, but after rediscovering the song not too long ago I really started to like it, and while this is their most memorable hit, I think this wasn't the strongest choice since they aren't that big compared to the amazing bands some of your fellow Survivors submitted.
Score's coming...
