That's the point of Cersei's character: she is terrible at the game of thrones, but she doesn't know it. Cersei has power because she is a Lannister, and Jaime and Tywin have always helped her keep that power. She thinks she's as smart as anyone (Tywin, Tyrion, Olenna), but she's actually delusional. Cersei was never supposed to be "so clever."

I can't remember his name, but in the earlier seasons he had longer hair, and I believe he slept with Cersei, he was like her boy toy whilst she was married.
FINALLY an episode I'm happy with. Lots of pivotal turning points for the characters. So here for Littlefinger and Lady Olenna teaming up to take down Cersei. So here for Stannis taking the moral high ground and kicking Melissandre's ass to the curb for suggesting they sacrifice his daughter. I love how they're really teeing him up to be one of the central protagonists now where a few seasons ago you could arguably say he was almost an antagonist.
Disappointed Sansa's situation is getting worse. Got all my fingers crossed that it starts to resolve itself by the end of this season b/c I'm not here for having to wait for S6 for her to get rescued or kill Ramsay or whatever.

It definitely looked to me like a sharp object. Thought she was gonna try stab him with it there and then but that would've been way out of character.
