Yeah, I was a bit apprehensive about the studio version of DWUW in terms of chart reputation for the reason you guys mentioned too. It's just not really reacting well in the USA and I don't think much can save the song. It could still keep increasing on on airplay but I don't think sales of any version are going to boom that well unless something really unexpected happens.

I guess she must be having a little European vacation since she was in Russia anyway. She's only doing a skit anyway right for the PCAs? So I guess she doesn't need to be there.

I feel more confident this time around on the next album. I was always hesitant about Lotus because it was way too soon in so many ways so I wasn't that suprised things didn't turn out well. You never know what will happen next, but I'm much more confident this time

The thing is, she won't have that kind of drive until she stops giving a fvk. She cares too much to be honest. It has hurt her career tremendously. Her ego sits too high above her actual genius to create great material. She also need to be visually on point again with her MVs. Her ego blocks out her talent in soooo many ways.

Seeing as how short lived the Bionic era was, I wouldn't say it was too soon. However, my only problem with Lotus; it was so amateurish, especially the mixing.

I'm trying to understand, are you commenting on her perfectionism? How she may care and try so hard to create something perfect, it may fall short and she loses focus or something?

She loved Bionic, or at least a lot of the core elements. We seen this again and again that she did love Bionic. Lot of conflict with the label/marriage/son/burlesque/cancelled tour etc poisoned the era.

Lotus, I don't think she gave a single f***.

But I may not know anything lol, she's such a mystery. It's a blessing and a curse lol.

Lotus shouldn't have happened, I mean I was happy for new material but her heart wasn't in it resulting into a blemish on her otherwise strong discography.

I really can't wait for what the new era will bring because she seems to have really recovered from the strain of the 2010 - 2012 events and is in a better place right now personally and professionally.

C'mon Christina give us the album of the decade that we know only you can deliver.

That's the main reason I like Christina! And why I kind of like Janet and Rihanna too.

I get what you mean, but I think mentally, it was too much to handle for Christina. It was like she went straight from Bionic to her divorce to Burlesque to three back to back seasons of The Voice while recording Lotus. Not to mention various kinds of media backlash. Maybe some people could handle all of that and be unfazed, but I think she definitely suffered from some depression during that time.

She just wasn't really mentally ready for Lotus. She never wanted wanted to do two seasons of the show in one year anyway.

I mean one season off from The Voice did such wonders for her.

More so the fact that she cares about the media, blogs, journalists to the point where she tries to make music in the sense of what the GP expects from a woman of her age. She HAD that "I don't give a fck" attitude at the beginning of the Bionic era, but with the back lash, the constantly comparisons and constant trashing of her music/image...I truly think it scarred her, not only on the surface, but emotionally as well. I honestly think it left her scared to be as free as she truly wants to be... creatively and visually, I think she feels as if she still has to walk on egg shells when doing certain things. She is not as fearless as she was before 2010...

The success I want for X is to be able to go on tour again.. maybe even stadiums
So that means maybe a semi-long album era with hits and critical acclaim + music that speaks for itself
