At this point, Gypsy is going to be another Marry The Night. I'll just hold me tears back and enjoy whatever music video I may get for it.
Realistically, with this new streaming rule, it would be very, very, very hard for Gaga to not break top twenty. The Monsters are just as mad as the Directioners (we aren't quite at Belieber levels of streaming ) in that regard.
Wait, so Gypsy was the lead single? I would've loved for it to be the lead single, I think it would've sold the album way better than Applause did. Even though I do love Applause as the lead so regardless of anything, I'm happy she chose that song to introduce the ARTPOP era. My only request is that Gypsy becomes a single later on, though, and if she wanted to make Aura a single then it definitely was the Telephone continuation. I wish she would've kept her original plans then, Gypsy and then Aura as the second single with the Telephone sequel but what's done is done. Also, Telephone is an amazing song and single, it has fun and relatable lyrics and an amazing hook.

Don't say that, Gypsy is one of the few accessible songs without off-putting lyrics on the album, is kind of stripped down for Gaga, has a nice melody and a catchy hook and all my friends that bought the album say the love Gypsy so I think it does have mass appeal. It could work for her, it could be the Rude Boy to her Rated R, and if you haven't noticed every time she performs it, it's very responsive on iTunes but even if it does underperform I will be pleased with a few performances and a good video really, I love the song.

Can you imagine if she performed it consistently and at relevant shows and did even a tiny bit of promo on her own? Sorry, I still think she sacrificed DWUW so she could focus on other things. It's her fault it flopped (unlike MTN).

Yeah she didn't want DWUW so she just didn't care how it performed which is stupid but oh well
