See, i've looked at this objectively and I both agree and disagree. Any other generation she would have been your run of the mill talent. But in this day in age, she stands out like a beacon. This "image-first" approach to record labels choosing which acts to back has led to a decline in quality talent.

I think for her stans and most of her mild fans, it's refreshing to have a 'popstar' who CARES as opposed to just another pretty face.

The funny part is she let Beyonce win the battle. In the beginning Beyonce saw her as a threat and tried to take advantage with 'Video Phone' but in the end Gaga was the victor hence 'Telephone' outcharting and giving Beyonce her biggest hit until DIL. She even outsold her Between TF and TFM. I'm so disappointed in her because she had that aura in the beginning but she let so many people get to her. Applause was a hit but not the #1 hit she wanted especially after how big BTW was. She just doesn't get it.

That's one thing I like about Beyonce: she's unbothered. (I'm sure she's prob. is compulsive about her image and never "slipping" but she keeps it hidden. If she is bothered, she never shows it). Even when Run the World was flopping terribly, she still owned it. She went through the era performing the song everywhere like it was the #1 song in the country, and she never fingerpointed at others for her failures or said ''Adele is #1'' or sneak dissed Katy Perry or Lady Gaga for having a better year.

When the crazy surrogate drama came about, she kept her mouth shut about it. You can only imagine if Gaga dealt with that situation. She would be tweeting endlessly till her fingers fell off about it.
