Can you please discuss Usher using your icon/pop culture icon/music icon/icon with a chance to be a legend/legend/etc. criteria?

I did
crossover r&b legend
entertainment legend
pop culture icon
music icon
An argument can be made for him being a legend but also for just being an icon.
It depends do you consider crossover and r&b 2 or 1. He either ties or has majority.
I say legend because for an r&b artist in the 90s and 00s and early 10s he had some significant hits on top 40 and was that token r&b guy that did well on all formats.
For music, he really didn't push the needle forward at all this decade.
Poor him now.
Luckily he has to compete with the likes of fist doo doo brown, john ledges end, frank puddles and trey quick lil singles so if he pushed through in his next era he could become a music legend in the making.
My bet is no though.
