i personally want a more stripped down performance than big stage props and explosions as long as her vocals are on point i'll stay away from any threads if the performance is a mess
Me too. This is the only thing that worries me. Since her break, it seems like her live vocals have improved based on the private shows we've seen. Now I just need her to slay on the big stage. I know she can do it
Now that everyone's talking about that infamous Billboard performance, it makes me want for Katy to improve her live performing skills.
I would stan for her even harder if she became a P!nk or Beyonce on the stage. Or at least, improve her vocal skills. Her breathing techniques.
It actually takes a lot of focus to sing properly and well, especially when you're dancing at the same time.
So I'm guessing Katy just loses her focus and concentration. I'm sure she knows how to slay our lives with her voice otherwise, though.

it's the nerves as well. from what icr she said it from that deleted footage of pom 3d that tv performances/ award shows intimidates her because it feels like a talent show or something where her peers are judging her.

the grammy 2011 performance slays tho
Well, she needs to get over it and start practicing.

I remember seeing a video of this on youtube. She was having total meltdown before her Grammy performance. She seemed really upset, depressed and insecure about performing in front of her peers. I felt bad for her.

I think it got yanked off the internet but it was really sad. She was getting super frustrated and her anxiety was at a very high level (she was constantly running her hands through her hair looking nervous). Her manager even had to sit down and talk to her on the side. That's when she told him that she feels like she is at a talent show and her peers are laughing at her ( or something like that). Then after the live performance she didn't seem to happy with herself about how she did.
