I let the Nate Ruess co-write and talk of "evolution" blindside me....I should not have expected anything other than a generic Dr. Luke song that was still incredibly catchy and an undeniable smash, which is exactly what this is. It's more instant than "TiK ToK" which I hated until about January.
It's not as good as I was expecting. I hope it'll grow on me, I've waited far too long to not like the song.
I don't really like how the chorus repeats at the end, the transition just sounds messy to me
It's sad that most people keep using "but it'll smash" as a consolation prize.
Artistic evolution is necessary. This is de-evolution, and seeing as how Kesha props herself up to be an artist, she can't be pulling this crap. This is unacceptable.
