Shontelle possibly having a UK Christmas #1 is the only good thing that come from James winning, even though it means the song being ruined. He will probably steal a basic guitar cover version he saw on youtube, slur all over it so it sounds like most of his other performances, and get praised by the judges for his "originality" and for being a "real *~credible~* artist".

Only Christ can save us from such sacrilege which is why I'll be giving Him a vote. I've only ever voted for Leona, Alex and Little Mix before now: that's right, 100% accuracy, all of them won.

Saturday: The nationwide search for music's next big thing comes to an end with performances by Kylie Minogue and Rihanna in the first show. Battling it out are James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney, and like last year, the finalists each perform duets with their mentors, so Nicole Scherzinger will be on stage with James and Jahmene, and Gary Barlow will be supporting Christopher. At the end of the show, Dermot O'Leary announces the results of the phone-in and the least popular contestant gets the chop, with the lucky two going through to the last stage of the contest.

Sunday: This is the last chance for the two remaining acts to impress the public in the race to become this year's X Factor winner. Gary, Nicole, Tulisa and Louis offer their comments as usual, but the result is entirely in viewers' hands, and at the end of the show, Dermot O'Leary reveals which of the potential pop stars walks away with the record deal. One Direction, Emeli Sande and Only Boys Aloud will also be appearing on stage.
