I distinctly remember Mariah's Prisoner being played a lot in my house growing up, which is weird and unexplainable to this day. It wasn't a single, it was relatively old by the time I was born (1997), and neither of my parents were fans. I didn't even know it was a Mariah song until I started getting into her discography.

My mum was boybands, Texas, Madonna. She also grew to love Ellie Goulding in her later years.
