Can't believe I paid Almost Home dust for SO long, it's amazing.
I'm really angry it wasn't a big hit cause it definitely had the potential, I think it could've smashed if it was attached to a better movie.
Almost Home was manna from Heaven. A strong melody, propulsive beat, Mariah serving vocals, the day it came out I told a friend of mine it was her most pop-sounding record in years.
It was used briefly during an Idol montage the year she judged, and I harbored some small hope that people would think "oh what's that??" and seek out the song. Alas, here we are...
