Beyoncé prior to Self-Titled had 4 and B'Day. In no way did those albums have a lot of filler. Yall want her to be on these basic ass singers' levels so bad and she'll always just excel. Give it up.
Nah, B'Day was lean, concise and tight and literally every song served a purpose. No filler there. 4 had I Was Here and Rather Die Young and nothing more.
It was released in a historical, groundbreaking, innovative way! Das it! Not much classic about it.
B'Day is her best candidate for the 'classic' title.
Whet?
There's not one filler track on ST, not to mention it's her most honest work to date. The commercial success and the way it was released along with the universal acclaim is just icing on the cake. If you don't call that a classic, then I don't know what else to tell you.

21 was huge critically and commercially. And now it's gone. There you go.

Resentment, Sugamama, Kitty Kat, Freakum Dress, Ring The Alarm, Irreplaceable & Green Light were filler.
ST is a classic because its lyrically honest, sonically experimental, she gives great, understated vocal performances AND she released it an unexpected and groundbreaking way. Im glad it's recognized as a classic so early after its release
