I like both for what they are. I do probably prefer the "demo" as it keeps all artistic integrity in tact; I love how it's over 5 minutes but feels no longer than the final version, imo. But the final version is good and is an excellent, single-worthy length, so there's that too... and I think it still keeps the message and flow of the song. I'm glad the ending of both songs is still largely the same, her soft final vocals >>>>
Such a shame that lots of Animals have been wanting her to go the indie route, but then a lot think that Lover is throwaway and haven't listened to it more than once or twice. It's genuinely a great track, much better than Love Into The Light and probably equal with Past Lives in terms of tracks that she's written independently.
