There are obviously different ways to decipher what an artist is.
You can say an artist is only as good as his tool. You can also say an artist isn't an artist until he receives recognition/success.

Sia's comment really does scare me. I think whatever the song is, it was destined for a vocalist and there's that possibility of Sia giving Bey the song she wrote for Kelly cuz Bey is a bigger name and what Bey wants, Bey gets.

Artistry is very much subjective. But there's no doubt Kelly is an artist. There isn't just one format or style that determines whether she is or isn't one. The delusion.

The whole discussion started from my little statement where I called GaGa "artist" and Kelly "singer". I think it's right.

I'm never said GaGa doesn't have vocal skills and Kelly can't write or create music.
