How would they explain Catelyn coming back now? It had to have happened awhile ago because otherwise the body would have rotted or been lost, but it would be awkward if they just resurrected her off screen and she's been around this whole time.

I'm thinking Sansa might take Lady Stoneheart's place in the story. Her entire story is about accumulating power to avenge her family. If/when she gains control of the north, she might go and kill all the Freys that LSH actually killed.

Benioff & Weiss gives no **** about the timeline, because it's something that is not adaptable on screen, all that matters is continuity and flow

So no the storylines you're talking about are not cut, they could come back later because the timeline doesn't matter since it's not distinguishable on tv, it's invisible unlike the books
The storyline from the books 100% sure cut are the storylines involving new characters (and maybe secondary characters we barely saw in the show before)

Storyline involving characters as important as Catelyn , Osha/Rickon or Yara Greyjoy and others (Gendry, Sandor, the Tullys) will comeback in season 6/7.

Because after this season 5, Benioff and Weiss are gonna be done with AFFC/ADWD and there will be no books to do season 6/7, they're gonna write new storylines and that's when they'll add the stuff they postponed.

Season 6 will be, maybe, about the Greyjoys, the continuation for the mess of King's Landing and whatever. But the Bolton-Winterfell will be done in this season.

There's any sense to make the Lady Stoneheart storyline.
In the books her body was revived 3 days after the Red Wedding, and shabby. Almost a few years for now.
The resurrections NEEDS to be done in a short time after the death. The longer they wait, the harder to be done. So there is no logic.

If it's real, then the season 6 will be about the 6th book. Martin is also part of the team of Game of Throne. So we can suppose he would talk about general ideas to the producers. And the 6th book would be enough to 6th and 7th season (out in 2016 and 2017). Time enough for finish the 7th and last book.
Martin also said he already make the whole story complete. He just need the time make it cohesive and something like that.

I loathe that idea. The stuff LSH does is nowhere in the vicinity of Sansa's personality even as she evolves. It doesn't work for that character. The tragedy that is Lady Stoneheart is the biggest consequence of the Red Wedding. If they cut it or transfer it to another character, then they're incompetent.

I just think the storyline we talked about, were deleted. At the end of the day they are just in second, or even third plane in the principal story.
