I feel like there's some sort of 90's revival with all these new acts like Courtney Barnett, Torres, Waxahatchee, EMA + female fronted bands: Screaming Females, Speedy Ortiz, Perfect *****, Joanna Gruesome and Bully. Really happy to see that the scene is still alive.

Totally. Though for some reason I always separate Sleater-Kinney from the women I mentioned before, despite the fact that they released their debut the same year as Elastica. I guess they kinda feel like "the next generation" or whatever, even though they're probably around the same age. Maybe it's because they're the only ones that were still really relevant into the new century (aside from PJ, but she's so different now). It's weird.
And yeah, you can really hear the influence in some of the new acts - those girls and (interestingly) even the pop singers, like Sky Ferreira (who has recently been covering Hole) and that Charli girl. Though the latter kinda feels a bit, IDK, Spice Girl-y.
