Yeah and in the SYG thread they post bad pictures from her dark moments...now the smart thing to do is to show it serves as a reminder how far she's come but the reality is they will try to discount Britney as much as possible because they know the lack of impact and influence of the newer generation and they know how often she's brought up in the media, how her views of older videos, how no one is making iconic performances anymore and no other pop star is as embedded into pop culture as Britney spears is.
I lowkey believe that many wish that she was still in that bad place or wish that the AP's obituary was the end result.
I think many are bothered by her constant relevance, despite not making much effort meanwhile their faves have to give 200% and get only 50% return on investment.
They also shade the conservatorship which is the pits but if Britney were rebelling then they would be so happy. they know that Britney is fine with it and is allowed to live her life less stress free with custody of her kids and peace and happiness
They wish that she had "relapsed" they way a robert downey and lindsay lohan did but she's kept it together and got things back right in her personal life.
Despite the legalities, they know she has freedom to have a balanced life on her terms (otherwise she'd be pushed out on ww tours and promoting when she's not ready)
Britney is just too big to really fail and they know it and they claim we like to relive the past but they like to relive her dark period to feel better about themselves.
Everyone wrote her off when:
she put out her first album
teen pop died
people took justin's side
she was no longer a sex symbol
she married that sigh...
she had babies with that sigh...
she broke down
etc.
She persevered found balance with money love and happiness and is an undeniable icon and bordering on undeniable legend to all at this point.
Let Britney consume their minds...it's quite telling.
This is so sad for anyone to not have ITZ in their top 2 means they have alot to learn about what makes Britney so brilliant.
Sis let's not pull the "more experienced fan" card. I've been a fan for 7 years and I've read and seen pre much everything about Britney's career. I just happen to prefer Circus (and it's only by the slightest margins) but I still recognise what makes ITZ such an important and amazing album
