Yes, it's indeed possible. But just a head's up. Head voice is a far more connected register than whistle, whistle can't really be called a connected register. Also, it's far more impressive to hit a A6 in head voice than whistle. On the other hand, it would be more impressive to do a Bb5 in whistle. However, the head voice option would sound 10x fuller.
