That was a reaction to Taylor's hostility. Once Taylor butted into the discussion by being cheeky arrogant and bragging about her MTV nominations and Nicki's lack of, Nicki had no choice but to clap back.
Swifities still haven't got it - Taylor was a subject but not the object in Nicki's original rant. Taylor took offense - but worse still, she twisted the whole thing and reduced it to a showbiz diss that required a counter-diss (and maybe a song or two and a music video as well, we'll see)
