I feel like a lot of indie artists would have to be atheist/agnostic. So many people in the arts are progressive/liberal & don't align themselves with a cult. America is still immensely religious, so it makes sense that a lot of people in Hollywood are religious.

Autonomy always wins. I guess.

Liberal Christian/Non-practicing Christian/Agnostic Christian or Theist/Agnostic Atheist/Spiritual (believe in a higher spirit or God but don't belong in any organized religion). Secularist, humanist. There's too many terms for it lol

Probably agnostic. If you don't believe in any higher power, but you're open to information that would prove the existence of a higher power, the possibility is there - then you're definitely agnostic.

If you believe in a higher power, but don't align yourself to any particular religion - then you probably still haven't found a religion that suits your spiritual needs.

There's a very thin line between atheism/agnosticism.

I hate when people are like "Oh, you're not religious?" like there's something missing from your soul

The term 'religious' is so broad. You can't really define it so simply. I find myself religiously ambitious within myself, I'm religious towards my goals, in the good of humanity, science, etc. Just because I don't focus all of my spiritual energy into an imaginary higher power does not mean I'm not a religious person and that there's something missing from my life.

I learnt in UNI the other day that church was once (1400-1700) used by the whole population so that they could meet people to bring back home and ****. People started to move away from religion once there were other ways to meet people and socialise.

People are more attentive & serious towards their religion now than at any other point in early modern history.
