Yeah this multiculturalism **** ain't working out.
Seems like black people are the only one willing to participate or atleast other groups just don't want black people too.
I think it's time black people stop trying to join in on the fun and just do our own thing.
Not true at all. So many posts in this thread are proof of that.
Tweeting/screenshot, they served the same purpose. If he had said "I deserve this.",or " I won this fair and square" he would have gotten ripped to shreds.
No. Because he could have tweeted his thoughts and that would have seemed more personal and sincere. I find that screenshotting convos as to prove that you are in contact Kendrick, to give off the impression that you are buds or w/e is desperate and phony. But that's just me. But as a matter of fact, I don't really have a problem with Macklemores social justice facade.
In all seriousness I got a kii from this but Iggy isn't obligated to say sh*t about Ferguson or Garner etc..
Plenty of artists (including many black artists) haven't said anything either.
and if anything she's stereotyping black woman who are constantly being stereotyped as "angry black woman" it's such a shame tbh.
As a black woman, I don't feel "stereotyped" by the way other black women behave. If anything this comment only showed that you judge black women based on how other black women act. You just exposed YOURSELF. Don't tell black women how they do or should feel just because of what other black women are doing. Ever.
omg i can't get into this tweet at all because he said seven and unless there are severe race issues in antarctica i don't think that's accurate
Why do you only considered the least important parts? It's like fixing typo in a well-constructed argument. The issue is not the amount of races that habit the earth, but those who were enslaved, humiliated and oppressed by the system (AKA white supremacy and their countless countries colonized). I did not mean to offend any race, but only make people here aware there is no way to "racist" offend a race that since the beginning oppressed others.
this thread is filled with two types of people:
1. wannabe sociologists with misplaced anger
2. people who have never seriously considered racism in their lives
there are rational people around here but most of it is mess
but when you portray yourself in that way in many songs, talking about all this stuff that you have no clue about it is fraud. Iggy has probably never held a gun in her life but she rambles on about having a pearl handle. Also, when she speaks why doesnt she talk like she does in her songs? with the slang and the accent, oh thats just because its fake! She takes the culture and uses it for entertainment which is wrong.
This can be said for almost every rapper, the days of having street cred through gang banging is long gone. Drake put the final nail in that coffin. Where is the uproar for his appropriation of black culture when he is a rich child star from Canada?

I'm sorry but these comments really piss me off. Who is maintaining the division? White people? Because I'm white and I sure don't. I don't think you realize the extreme irony of what you're saying.
Are you ignoring the fact that white people are the ones behind internalized racism?

clock them.
their logic was completely backwards and shows just how racist they don't even realize they are.

Oh please, everyone and their grandma was saying he didn't deserve that award and only got it cuz he was white, and he didn't want look bad to hip hop fans and wanted to prove he was on their side. He would have been attacked for being sincere, he chose the lessor of two evils.
