Spears' Circus wows London


Britney Spears thrilled a star-studded audience at the first show on the European leg of her Circus tour - Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Love Hewitt were among the fans in the audience in London on Wednesday night.

The pop superstar kicked off her run of concerts at the capital's O2 Arena by descending from the ceiling on a circular trapeze, wearing a revealing corset and fishnet tights to sing her recent track Circus.

Spears was on dazzling form after a month's break from performing since she wrapped up her North American shows in May.

And she showed off a new toned figure in a range of figure hugging outfits, including a raunchy sequined number with nipple tassells and a ringmaster outfit, complete with whip.

The 27 year old delighted the audience by belting out all her classic hits - and surprised concert goers by remixing a selection of her tracks, including Baby One More Time and Womanizer, especially for her European tour.

The singer stopped during the gig and yelled to the crowd, "What's up London! I am so happy to be here tonight!"

And even after she had finished the energetic two hour show, Spears still found time to post a message on her Twitter.com page to all her devotees who were unable to attend the concert.

She writes, “Just wrapped my first show in London. I love all the remixed tracks and new costumes.”

Spears is performing nine shows in London and two in Ireland before taking the tour to the rest of Europe in July.

I went to see britney live last nite and i walked away very disspaointed. Take away the amazing dancers, video screens and props from Britney and your left with a girl flicking her hair and miming throughout’ I mean it all looked amazing, but when it came down to it I paid good money to hear her sing. And she did'nt bar 1 song that she could hardly get through. Ciara who supported her danced and sang live and she was incredible! ( i would even go as far as, she was better than britney) Brit only spoke once after 4 songs and that was it. There was no interation with the crowd, which left me wondering if she cared about us at all. To much had gone into the costume changes and overall production, and sadly the vocal talent was not needed ( in her books) sadly a comeback not worth seeing when we are in a recession.

What an idiot. She paid good money to hear Britney singing LIVE? LMFAO. Does she have internet? A Britney concert is not just about singing. She's way more that, anyone with half a brain knows that.

Btw, DEAD at "take the dancers, the visual things" etc and the show sucks. Well, if she wanted a boring show with a girl singing while seating on a chair, it would have been better to go to a Norah Jones show or something as annoying as that.

even if they were lying i can go on youtube to see they werent very far off from the truth.


but im sure brits fans enjoyed her show
