Also, ancient Eygpt, as with ancient Rome and Greece, are not exclusive to the countries that are presently in the same lands. Ancient cultures are part of a world culture, at least a western culture. Since those cultures have affected today's cultures.
What the **** does the dark album thing have ANYTHING to do with this? Honey, did Katy Perry break into your house and steal your ****? Because you seem pretty mad.
This is nothing like the Unconditionally at the AMAs

It gives me the authority to approve it and respect it and acknowledge it. Actually, my boyfriend's from Egypt and he is having a "wtf" moment right now. He was Katy's fan too. Her mother is Italian, the Germanotta surname is Italian. She knows more about theatre and culture and music because she studied THAT. And she knows how to respect a figure. And please, i suggest you should check the whole damn comment of mine again.

If the video was a dark-themed, serious, gothic piece, you'd see the same pressed individuals on here with comments like: "she's trying way too hard" "she's copying ____" "this video is so predictable". Instead, she surprised us all with a very unexpected teaser, with what appears to be a fun-look(very fitting with the image she has built) that happens to be quite original and different from what everyone predicted. So instead, they claim it's "childish" "un-inspired" and "tacky".
Some of you act like 60 year old prunes, because this is in no way childish. It's playful, humorous, and just has a fun-vibe to it, but no when people grow up they stop enjoying things like that. Right? Wrong. It puts a smile on your face, and looks like it's gonna be visually stunning. It's a spectacle. Her video is a performance, an event per se. She creates and brings worlds to life, she creates wacky characters, she creates art. She accomplished her goal, it's her take on the song, and whether you like it or not, the majority of people will love it.

Oh, so you have an Egyptian boyfriend, so that gives you authority to act offended? My past boyfriend was black, doesn't mean I know what it's like to be black.
Mess @ you IGNORING my main points.
I would take this a little more serious if it weren't coming from people that constantly drag her. (Monsters ) Don't give me that **** about being an old fan.

It gives him the authority to be offended, hun, he's next to me, and he's seeing the bulshit you spewing. If Katy tanned herself completely dark so she can make a parodical music video, then you bet your ass he'll be offended. What were your points from the start? Not factual or strong enough. I don't constantly drag her hun, this is the first time i do that, i had some remaining respect for her 3 days ago. I was actually a fan of hers. So...

Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, has topped the Hot 100 chart for three consecutive weeks, but has yet to receive an official music video. That will change on Feb. 20, when the collaboration's official clip -- apparently, a Cleopatra homage, judging by the 30-second teaser released on Thursday (Feb. 20) -- is finally unveiled.
Expect delicious camp when Perry heads to ancient Egypt, as the "Dark Horse" clip will likely strike the goofy-fun vibe of last year's "Roar" video. "If she fell in love, you'd be top dawg," reads the faux-hieroglyphics in the video, describing the wishes of the famed Katy Patra. "If she didn't, her wrath would leave you whimpering."
Of course, the big reveal of the teaser is Perry on her throne, sporting a bejeweled grill, just like they used to wear in ancient Egypt. What wacky garb will Juicy J be dressed in for the video? We'll have to wait one week to find out.

That's kinda racist from your side to be honest. They may not going around building pyraminds and stuff but his country has a goddamn culture if your little mind noticed.

She didn't even direct it at Egypt, she directed it at a studio, with painted walls. How it will get a tourist boost?

maybe people get curious and want to check out if the pyramids and the other historical buildings were all pink?
but to get serious here it's not that katy needs to drop a video for a song with 3 consecutive weeks being #1.
it's just katys way to say thank you to the millions who bought the song.
