In season-premiere news, the 15th edition of “Big Brother” on CBS dominated the 8 p.m. hour with a 4.5/ 8 in the overnights. Comparably, that was a hefty 36 percent above failed year-ago time period occupant “Dogs in the City” (3.3/ 6 on 6/27/12). And it increased by 15 percent from the year-ago season-opener of “Big Brother” in the Wednesday 8 p.m. hour (3.9/ 7 on 7/18/12, which translated into 5.78 million viewers and a 2.0 rating/7 share among adults 18-49 based on the live plus same day data). Needless to say, expect another very respectable season for the summer’s guiltiest pleasure. Congratulations, Allison Grodner and company.
