Outstanding ratings for an outstanding special, if she doesn't get Emmy nominations for this there is something wrong with the world.
OMG i didnt even think of the emmys this could rack up!!! it was so amazing AND she directed it!!! So she can get emmys for that too.. im so happy... i hope this is a turning point for the era in the right direction
Thanksgiving specials don't get good ratings. People are distracted by other activities. If they're smart they'll tweak this and re-air it as a "holiday" special.
The real surprise is that it did better than Taylor Swift's special last year. America + Taylor + holiday = unbeatable.
Not really as there were two pop star specials last year (Taylor and Beyonce, in addition to Paul McCartney's special) which went up against Football and The Simpsons Movie. Beyonce also outperformed Taylor's special that night
And they cut MTN performance while 5.7M people were watching?

To be fair, she sang the first verse and chorus, then the video preview included the second verse and chorus. That was definitely enough in my opinion
