BECKY G PERFORMS 'SHOWER' ON THE VOICE
Female teen rapper Becky G, who was recently signed by Iggy Azalea another female rapper, took the stage of the hit US singing competition show to perform her single live for the first time on national TV. After the performance, Becky talked to the host of the show, Carson Daley, to talk about her rising stardom.
Carson: Wow that was a great performance, love the song! How do you feel about being signed by another huge female rapper?
Becky: It feels amazing to be noticed by someone who is doing the same thing that I'm doing, and it feels even more amazing that that someone is Iggy because she's an incredibly talented artist.
Carson: Yes she is. In the past you've tried to break into the music scene but never quite caught on, what do you think makes 'Shower' so different that it's getting popular across the country?
Becky: I just think it's such a fun song to sing anywhere, in the car, in your room, and even in the shower! And I'm so glad that people are loving it
Carson: That's great! So when can we expect an album from you?
Becky: Well I'm still working some things out but it's almost done and should be out soon!
Carson: Can't wait! Alright Becky thanks for joining us tonight, and all of you at home can buy 'Shower' right now on iTunes!
'Shower' is currently at #34 on US iTunes and is expected to rise after tonight's performance.
SHOWER AVAILABLE ON ITUNES NOW

INA GARTEN ON WENDY WILLIAMS
Cooking sensation turned singer, Ina Garten stopped by the Wendy Williams Show today to talk about her upcoming projects and the death of her dear friend Paula Deen
Wendy: So Ina, how YOU doin'? Probably not too good since Paula died
Ina: Why yes, it is very unfortunate that Paula died so suddenly. She had a blossoming music career and it's a shame that it won't happen anymore. I suspect foul play.
Wendy: OOO do tell
Ina: Have you ever heard about a secret society by the name of The Illumination?
Wendy: Sweetie I think you might be referring to the Illuminati...
Ina: Must everyone correct me?! But yes that's what I meant. I read about this society on the Internet and found out that they go after musicians who are against them. Paula was very religious and would never dare to sell her soul, so obviously they were threatened and decided to get rid of her.
Wendy: any idea on who did it?
Ina: Isn't it obvious? Beyonce
Wendy: Ooo gurl, that's dangerous for you to say...aren't you afraid that you might be next??
Ina: No, I'm Jewish. I thought it was someone else but she is too much of a coward. Speaking of cowards, before Paula died, she and I recorded a song together and it will be released soon.
Wendy: Wow you are moving fast! Iggy was right to sign you
Ina: Yes, I've been working very hard at the studio and my album is coming together very quickly
Wendy: Well I can't wait to hear the album! Thank you for stopping by Ina. By the way, I love your quiche, can I have the recipe?
Ina: No. Oh there's my private jet, so long!

Beyonce Performs on Z100 Live Lounge
More radio promo for Yonce!
Mrs. Carter performed earlier today at Z100's Live Lounge a few songs acoustically including her latest single 'On Hold'. She first sat down wearing a flower pattern dress to answer a few questions live. Here is a transcript of a part of the interview:
What are you currently working on aside of the album?
Well I'm mostly promoting the album and adding final touches to it. I really like to concentrate on one project at the time since I can give it all my attention which results in making it better. But I do have a little side project. I'm releasing a DVD for the Mrs. Carter world Tour soon, look out for an announcement!
There's also a special... short movie related to the album that I'm working on.
A Short movie?
Yeah it's like a presentation of the album's concept.. I can't really say much about just yet.
Did you work with a lot of people on the album or was it really a small project between you three and a producer or 2?
It's one Big project. Me, Jay and Kanye produced or wrote a bit for it obviously but we also had many producers and a few writers to help us with it. It's a combination of all those different creative ideas that make the album so special.
Did you enjoy working with a producer more then the others?
I really like the whole album and loved working with all those people but I really like working with Boots with who I worked on my album BEYONCE. He's great at doing what he does.
[...]
Beyonce then performed acoustic versions of a few of her songs starting with Love on Top. She also sang Crazy In Love, XO, Pretty Hurts, Halo before ending with 'On Hold'.

Kylie Minogue SNL Takeover
Saturday June 29th, Australian diva Kylie Minogue opened SNL's first 40th season live show and took the stage both as a host and a performer, she acted in four of the skits, taking between them time to get ready for her performance, she debuted hew new single from her upcoming 13th studio album "Circles" on the show and performed other hits like "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and "Timebomb"
To open the show, Minogue, dressed as 90's Madonna, did purposely failed impressions of Madonna, Michael Jackson and Elvis. Minogue also did a new sketch featuring special guest Lily Allen called "Plastic" in which they both portrayed the very much infamous bobble-head blonde diva stereotype, critics have said that Minogue did a wonderful job on hosting the show and have responded greatly to her new single "Circles" which she performed at the end of the show.
Kylie is the first to perform on the new stage SNL revealed this season, where it was "bigger and better" as the show's producers said.
Preliminary Nielsen figures give the episode 7.9 rating among metered-market households and a 23 share. That's the largest haul for the NBC series in 3 years, since Betty White hosted in May, 2010.
Kylie Minogue's new single "Circles" is out on radio early today and on iTunes and other digital formats July 1st and her exclusive summer campaign with Versace launches July 2nd.

Bey, Jay-Z & Kanye Performs on The Tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon
For the promotion of their new single 'On Hold', Beyonce, Jay-Z & Kanye West appeared on The Tonight Show starring jimmy fallon. First they answered a few questions concerning their latest music and about a few projects they are working on. "We all had released an album last year, and well finished touring for our albums. We had already began working on our next albums when we met up and started discussing them. We all had similar concepts and visions, and the music was similar too, and we just said, why not?" said Jay-Z when asked about how the having a 'trio' album idea appear. When Kanye was asked about how was working with Jay-Z again (Kanye West and Jay-Z already had released an album together, 'Watch The Throne') he replied "Well it's great since we always come up with new ideas and he is really hard working just like me. I enjoy the studio time we have together!". At one point in the interview, Fallon asked Beyonce about a possible tour: "Well we will definitely tour. Meeting the fans from all around the world is great. Also before we go on tour we will all three release a DVD/CD and Blu-Ray/CD of our previous solo tours: The Mrs. Carter World tour for me, the Magna Carter Tour for Jay and the Yeezus Tour for Kanye.
They all three then got up and started a performance of 'On Hold'. Beyonce started the performance by doing a great acapella version of the chorus sang by her wearing a black leotard with a white fur coat and heels. Kanye then rapped his verse and the song continued as usual. Beyonce's vocals were on point again. The video of the performance can be viewed on the Tonight Show's official Youtube account.

'On Hold' Solo Versions on Vevo
A few days ago, Beyonce, Jay-Z & Kanye West released their collaboration 'On Hold' as lead single form their to be released collaborative album 'Count The Kills'. A few hours ago a snnippet of what could be a chorus on a Kanye West solo version of the song, leaked in medium quality. Since then, the fans of all three performers Beyonce, Kanye West & Jay-Z have been demanding to hear the solo versions of the songs and so Variety Records decided to put out the solo versions of the song o their artists' Vevo. Beyonce's solo version is longer then the album/single version and features different verses but it still keeps the Urban sound. Kanye has a slower rhythm with a more repetitive beat while the Jay-Z version sounds more like the Album version then the other solo versions which could mean that the song was originally he's own.
The videos of the solo versions have been streamed hundreds of thousands of times already and the streaming of those will push the sales of the single version aswell as the single's position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Kylie Minogue Covers ELLE
ELLE’s July Summer issue prints the pop queen Kylie Minogue on the cover of the six hundred four pages magazine, the diva sat down with Tom Hiddleston in a very quiet intimate room that suits any mood. Kylie Minogue fought through Breast Cancer and her story began almost four years ago.
Part of the Interview below, get your copy of ELLE's July 2014 issue tomorrow.
Kylie opened to us her diary of a breast cancer surviver and how she finally realized that motherhood may not be on the cards for her, 'I've never done that before,' she says. 'I felt, "No, I don't want to go anywhere [New Years Eve]. I really don't want to feel like I've got to go to a party because that's what I'm supposed to do." I couldn't wait to just not be bothered on New Year's Eve and just focus.
'I was thinking about the previous year, acknowledging everything that had happened and really projecting for this year. I've never been so still and focused. There's a lot of noise, everywhere I go there's stuff. So I'm feeling quite centred now which is really good and I feel like I've found steady ground - at least for the moment!’
'I was determined that last year was going to be a big year of change. Everything in my life changed. After having the same manager, an Australian, for 25 years, I got new management in LA. Americans work very differently to Brits and Australians, so it was like trying to learn a new language.
Then my assistant, who'd been with me for 12 years, moved back to Australia. So I was basically floundering around on my own, trying to keep my relationship going. He [Andrés] was very supportive throughout that, kind of acknowledging that I wanted a separation - not from him but from the old ways that I had. I'm sure that had something to do with our break-up.'
Her past job on The Voice coincides with the release of her first studio album in four years, Kiss Me Once.
At 45 she's still confident enough to parade in a negligee in the video for the first single Into The Blue, which is about being alone and seems to be an assertion that it's OK not to be in a relationship.
So is that how she feels now? 'Well I hope so, otherwise I'm seriously not OK,' she laughs. 'I didn't write the lyrics but amazingly they just fit my life at that moment. I was still in a relationship when I recorded it, so it must be destiny because the song's coming to life more with my current frame of mind.' | In the past Kylie's said she goes for complex men, which could be a euphemism for difficult and volatile. INXS singer Michael Hutchence, for example, who committed suicide in 1997, and who said his favourite hobby was 'corrupting Kylie'.
Then there was model James Gooding, who sold the story of their affair to a newspaper.
Even French actor Olivier Martinez, who she went out with from 2003-2007 and who stood by her when she underwent treatment for breast cancer in 2005, has a fiery side that came out recently after a fracas with his wife Halle Berry's ex-partner that landed him in hospital.
Does she still go for the difficult type? 'I do, but that's not to say my last boyfriend wasn't complex. He was a super, super straight-up nice guy and I think I definitely learnt from him that you can date a nice, caring guy.'
But didn't she once say Velencoso was The One? 'Yes. But I've thought that a few times.'
Does she mean when she's in a relationship, she's in it completely? 'Yes. I do fall rather hard.' So whose decision was it to break up, I wonder. 'I'm not going to go into any of that,' she says firmly. 'I love being in a relationship, except when you no longer should be in a relationship. But yes, I'm a romantic at heart. I love the idea of sharing your existence more deeply with someone. But I have enough to distract me when I'm not with someone.'
Even when she did think Velencoso was The One she would always side-step questions about whether marriage was for her. She has, however, been open about wanting children. She seems to have finally come to terms with the fact that may never happen.
'I don't know how many more times I can say, if it happens, it happens. But I think maybe part of this frame of mind I'm in, trying to be calm and accepting and at peace with where I am, is really acknowledging that it just might not be written on the pages for me. You can't have everything, so I'd rather just focus on what I have instead of what I don't have.'
Kylie is now working on her 13th studio album, crazy, isn’t it?
‘With this record, I wanted it to be more personal but yet sexy. I wanted it to be different, empowering and inspiring. I have been writing a lot for this record, There’s this one song I finished recently called “All Of You”, my friend inspired me to write it because she’s in a relationship with a girl she loves with all of her heart, but she kept telling me about the adventures she went through while in this relationship. The public had a very hard time accepting them and they were so rude to them! This songs is basically me putting myself in her position, it’s a love song that anyone can relate to actually, but I’ve written it specially for my friend.” |
Not many pop stars survive ten years in the business, let alone 25, but two years ago Kylie celebrated her quarter century as both a pop and style queen.
One of the reasons she's survived so long is that she's always reinventing her image or sound, keen to look forward rather than back.
'I've always been very curious,' she says. 'I find it weird explaining when people say you've changed your look or you've changed this or that because to me it's totally normal. Maybe if you're Bob Dylan you'll wear the same thing for 20 years. But I like fashion and I like the current wave of music. I like being involved in and being part of pop. I think if you're into pop, you're interested in change.
'Celebrating 25 years was fantastic, but towards the end of that year I started thinking, "OK, I've relived 25 years and done all the celebrating I need to do." I think that's where the yearning to change started. I just wanted to have a clean slate. Essentially I'm doing the same thing: making records and selling my wares and entertaining. But it's good to have a different energy around. You don't want to be just going around and around. I wanted some freshness.' | She feels this new start is as dramatic as the one she experienced when she got back into her career after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005.
She was in the middle of her Showgirl tour, but had to cut it short when she was forced to take 18 months off. 'I was diagnosed mid-tour, so that was my challenge, to finish it. I couldn't help but feel like it was a new beginning. You know, my hair started to grow back, I started to step back into the real world and I wasn't having so many medical appointments. I really felt like I'd got another chance. But this is very different. I feel like this is the beginning of the second half of my life.
'Mostly I don't feel 46. I actually feel younger than I felt a few years ago. It takes a while for your body to adjust,' she says, referring to the cancer.
'This might sound too much but I can't find another way of saying it. You have a kind of terror-memory of having gone through something so traumatic. Coming out of that I was soldiering on, saying, "I can do this, I can do this." But I was still dealing with stuff in my system. Right now I feel there are still things to do, that's why I'm amping up. I can't say the ageing process doesn't go through my mind from time to time. But distraction is a wonderful thing. I stay busy and I don't think about that stuff.' |

Jay-Z performs on 106 & Park
While on a promotional tour for his latest single 'On Hold' which also features Beyonce and fellow rapper Kanye West. When he first arrived into the studio, wearing a Tom Ford outfit he sat down for a small interview before answering questions asked by fans in the audience. He also did a freestyle and had the small crowd screaming and clapping for him.
He then sang the solo version of the single 'On Hold', the solo version that was posted on his own Vevo earlier today. The performance was extended, and by the original song being four minutes and a half long the performance was nine minutes long since he added some verses and did a freestyle chorus.
