Alive by Krewella takes over the #1 spot, since Spring Break was definitely their shot to get it and this song was definitely my Spring Break anthem this year. As a result, Heart Attack by Demi Lovato is pushed down to #2 after spending its first five weeks at #1. It's not done though
Also benefitting from Spring Break airplay is Austin Mahone. He zips 7 - 4 thanks to Spring Break airplay, as well as the fact that he celebrated his 17th birthday on Thursday. Happy birthday
.
After leaking yesterday, Selena Gomez's new song Come & Get It debuts at #20. It would have debuted higher had the release not been so messy so far. Also debuting this week, is the last 1992 bitch of the trinity, Miley Cyrus...with Snoop Lion at #30 with Ashtrays & Heartbreaks. This is the first time Miley, Demi & Selena have all been together with official singles all at the same time on this chart.
The last debut comes from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis f. Ray Dalton with Can't Hold Us at #37. Their other song, Thrift Shop, benefits from Spring Break airplay as it rebounds up 3 to #21.
Retiring this week is Figure 8 by Ellie Goulding. It retires after spending 20 weeks on the chart, peaking at #6. It was the winner of my February 2013 A List 40 game. It is Ellie Goulding's third retirement overall after Lights in August 2012 and Anything Could Happen in December 2012.
What will happen when Avril Lavigne storms in next week (WE ALL KNOW it's gonna happen). Tune in to find out.
