Somewhat. We in Britain brand immigrants as thieves for 'taking our jobs' and 'claiming benefits that tax payers fund'.
Having worked with immigrants, I don't have any problem with someone wanting a better life for themselves and coming to my country to work, pay taxes and contribute to our economy and society like one of us. Not everyone is as fortunate as I.
I also believe in a filter system because we can't just open the gates and allow our country to be used and abused.
An actual THIEF would be the Albanian(?) that claimed 50k in benefits and built a house for his family, in his home country.

I read that Germany is going to send back 75,000 asylum seekers from Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and probably Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro as their countries are safe and there is no need for them to be in Germany so they will be denied the asylum and deported and these new migrants will be taken in.
Also, a one of my father's friends who makes $50k in UAE is currently selling his stuff and readying tickets for himself and his family to Istanbul, planning to get into Germany.
One of his sons is getting asylum + education in Sweden, the other got a MSc scholarship in the US, and the man himself lives a really comfortable life in an affordable part of the country

I think for Germany helping the refugges is all about being generous and distancing themselves from their Nazi past, but eventualy it will backfire them, I mean they can't take millions of people in the country.

I live right next to the German border in the Netherlands but and have quite a few German colleagues that have stated that in their town their childrens school has closed to become a home for the refugees. Now the children must go to a neighbouring town to continue elementary school there. Germany really goes far to accomodate the influx of immigrants.
SEND THEM BACK. This is the only option unless you're itching for European (and US) demise. These "world leaders" are clueless and are ruining everything with their careless actions. They literally have no clue what to do and act only in self interest.

Simples. Germany and Merkel ****ed it up, why the hell did they say they can take all Syrians... They gave these people false promises... One day they can come freely the other day they cannot. Like seriously make up your ****in mind and don't turn my country an ugly scene of your own mess!!! Take them all then!!!

Yes, well a government is entrusted to take care of its own citizens, first and foremost. There's nothing wrong with that. Nothing in this world is free, and someone will pay for this exodus and it won't be the migrants receiving Germany's generosity.
This has become a pretty big election topic in Canada, current government in getting bashed for making it difficult for refugees and wants to take in maximum 10k. Opposition parties wanna take in 25k. I can see how this would be a big controversy in small european countries but here, honestly they could bring in like double that and the effects would be minimal so idk why the government is being so strict when Germany wants to bring in like 800,000.
Then again its causing chaos in Europe so I kinda see why they would be cautious.

Canada is big but don't think these people would want to inhabitate just any area. They want big cities.
I'm German and as much as I hate Merkel and our Goverment there's finally something good happening here and I hope we set an example for all other priviliged european countries.
From the economic point of view Germany needs immigrants so Angela knows what she's doing but the cultural differences will backfire HARD. She basically invited ALL of them there. They also need high-skilled, educated people which I doubt is the case.
She did say that only Syrians will be allowed to stay and others will be sent back. I just don't know how are they gonna figure out who is who since a lot of them don't have any documents and some even have fake ones.
The ones that get kicked out of Germany better not come back to Hungary, because by that point our government will be using the army. They're already about to change the law to make crossing the border an even more severe crime, and are going to send the army to keep them in Serbia. No way they're going to turn back, just scream and throw water at the soldiers.

She just made the Dublin accord void with this statement. She should now just send the Lufthansa to Greece and Hungary pick every single migrant up and airlift them to their new home Holy Germany. All they want is to get to Germany anyway... Other safe countries are apparently not good enough for them...
