Janet never had a #1 single though. I think she holds the record for most top ten hits without peaking at #1 or something along those lines.

In addition, Kylie does well with touring and she has 6 dates at the O2 for the Les Folies Tour (more than originally planned due to high demand). The KylieX2008 tour made 70 million, with no dates in North America.

2 hearts didn't do well, it wasn't well received and neither was X. Aphrodite ATL was touted as her return to form, which I guess it was it just hasn't captivated the buying public. It will be certified platinum but I don't know if it sell much more than that. Kylie has very few mutli-platinum albums.

Lesson: Madonna's first 3 albums (Madonna, Like a Virgin and True Blue) = 3 #1's + Who's That Girl and Into - The Groove (sountrack songs) = 5 #1's.

It took 7 years to achieve what Madonna did in 3.
