10th of December's issue (reflects streams, videos plays, sales and airplay between 3rd to 9th of December)
Let's start the first issue counting towards 2013 with a brand new number one. Diamonds and Skyfall exchange their positions allowing the lead single from Rihanna's latest effort a climb 2-1. It has the honor to be the first #1 of this chart-year and while doing it it achieves its third Platinum certification Try holds 3-3 but reducing its distance from #2 and Locked Out Of Heaven finally climbs 7-4 entering the Top 5 and, together with Try, becomes another menace for #1. The 4-week #1 One Day stays 5-5 enlarging its longevity while Gangnam Style tumbles 4-6 finally leaving Top 5. Candy falls 6-7 while the second single off Take The Crown makes its debut in the Hot 50, Different debuts at #30 this week. Don't You Worry Child rises 8-7. Musica holds again at 10 while Scream And Shout falls 8-9 holding well in the Top 10 after debuting here last week.
While Nicki Minaj makes her record bigger charting with 3 singles together for a sixth week another rapper who crossed over to Dance-Pop has been able to do the same this week. Flo Rida, with the debut of Olly Murs' Troublemaker which he features in, now holds this record too having 3 singles charting together. These are, in order of positions, I Cry, Whistle and the already said Troublemaker.

17th of December's issue (reflects streams, videos plays, sales and airplay between 10th to 16th of December)
Diamonds stays atop for a 2nd week while the runner-up changes: it's Locked Out Of Heaven which climbs 4-2 in its 11th week. The one who is constantly being locked out of Top 2 during her latest era seems to be P!nk. In fact, Try holds at its #3 peak for a 3rd week overtaken by Mars' song, the lead single Blow Me (One Last Kiss) was blocked to a #3 peak too. Try, though, has more chances than its predecessor to achieve a new peak. Skyfall falls 2-4 while the unescapable Gangnam Style rebounds 6-5 right when it seemed it was on its way out of the Top 10. Scream & Shout reaches a new peak climbing 9-7 and hits Gold status. With this, will.i.am has his 3rd certified hit after the 2xPlatinum one Hall of Fame and the Gold one This Is Love. will ties Madonna, Emeli Sandé, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj as the most certified artist in my countdown but he's the first male artist to do it! Don't You Worry Child is static at #8 and Candy keep on falling 7-9. Muse's Madness manages to climb 12-10 surprisingly stealing another week on the Top 10 spotlight.

24th of December's issue (reflects streams, videos plays, sales and airplay between 17th to 23rd of December)
On the week closing before Christmas Try manages to take the lead surging 3-1 thanks to intense streaming (without it, it would've stayed at #3 for a fouth consecutive week). It outpeaks the #3 hit Blow Me (One Last Kiss) and it'll pass it in total points too in 1 or 2 weeks. Diamonds and Locked Out Of Heaven both lose a position on the chart while Scream & Shout break in Top 5 and achieve a new peak (7-4). Gangnam Style stays 5-5 outlasting the #1-hit Skyfall which tumbles 4-6. One Day/Reckoning Song falls 6-7 confirming itself as the most longeve hit on the current Top 10. The Lumineers break Top 10 for the first time with Ho Hey ascending 12-8. Don't You Worry Child descends 8-9 while Musica re-enters the Top 10 climbing again 11-10.
The smash-hit Call Me Maybe charts for the 32nd week tying Summer Paradise as the most longeve hit on the chart. Will Carly be able to outlast it?
fun. gains their 3rd certified hit with Carry On going Gold after Some Nights (2xPlatinum) and We Are Young (4xPlatinum) tying Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Emeli Sandé and will.i.am as the most certified act but being the only group amongst them.
P.S.: From this week and going on new certifications and weekly achievements such as highest debut and greatest gainer will be shown directly into the chart layout.

31st of December's issue (reflects streams, videos plays, sales and airplay between 24th to 30th of December)
The Christmas chart comes influenced by the year-end effect as we see with Carly Rae Jepsen's, PSY's and Flo Rida's songs, for example. Leading the chart for the first week is Scream & Shout, the bombastic collaboration between the Black Eyed Peas frontman and Britney that climbs 4-1. Having reached the top in only 5 weeks of charting this is definitely the fastest climb to #1. Diamonds and Locked Out Of Heaven stay respectively at #2 and #3. Gangnam Style, as I stated first, lifts 5-4 aided by the year-end effect. Try after a lone week at #1 tumbles to #5 (last week it was helped by a more intense than usual streaming). Skyfall and One Day, both leader of the chart for 4 weeks, are static at #6 and #7 while Don't You Worry Child climbs 9-8. Ho Hey falls 8-9 and Die Young finally ascends into the Top 10 after 2+ months of chart-life.
Call Me Maybe becomes officially the longest chart-sitter ever in my countdown with 33 weeks passing Simple Plan's Summer Paradise. As it's still Top 30 it'll probably gain a few weeks more.
P.S.: From last week and going on new certifications and weekly achievements such as highest debut and greatest gainer will be shown directly into the chart layout.
7th of January's issue (reflects streams, videos plays, sales and airplay between 31st of December to 6th of January)
The first days of 2013 bring nothing new to Top 10. Scream & Shout stays at #1 for a second week with weekly points of a record-breaking number of 544k. Locked Out Of Heaven climbs 3-2 finding its current peak again while Diamonds falls 2-3. No. 4 and No. 5 are static and respectively occupied by Gangnam Style and Try. One Day and Skyfall exchange their positions at #6 and #7 while Don't You Worry Child and Ho Hey keep their last week's spots at No. 8 and No.9. Musica returns again in the lower tier climbing 12-10.
Nicki Minaj becomes the lone most certified act of the countdown as this week a 4th song of her achieve a certification. It's Justin Bieber's Beauty And A Beat which Minaj raps on. The other certified hits of her are the two Platinum hits "Girl On Fire" and "Give Me All Your Luvin'" and the Gold hit "Va Va Voom". Ironically enough, only the latter it's actually a track with Minaj as the lead.
14th of January's issue (reflects streams, videos plays, sales and airplay between 7th and 13th of January)
This week marked the holiday ending, maybe that's why I wanted to Scream & Shout some more. The collaboration between Britney Spears and will.i.am holds at #1 for a third week besting its last week result in points: 558k this week vs 544k last week. The #2 gathered 165k less points, a little bit less than one third of S&S. just to make you see how huge of a competition is being. The runner-up, by the way, is again Locked Out Of Heaven. P!nk comes back in the Top 3 from last week #5 with her No. 1 hit Try while Diamonds keeps descending 3-4. Climbing 12-5 and thus having its Top 10 debut it's a beautiful song by Lykke Li, I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix). Gangnam Style and One Day fall respectively 4-6 and 6-7 while Ho Hey goes at its peak of No. 8 again. Another song which peaks this week is Die Young (I know, extremely late) that climbs 11-9, gaining a 2nd week in the Top 10.
