Not really, it's best that they wait until the video is released and the song is at least top 40 on urban so that video views and increased streaming will allow it to chart higher.
I think Urban singles will have to rely on this otherwise they will stay perched in the 80s positions on the hot 100.
Repressing singles should work...especially for the teen crowd.
I agree with this but do you think they'll do that? and is this song on itunes yet? i dont have an itunes account or a card so i dont check.
This record has grown on me over time. When it was released I didn't care for it, but now it's real cute. I an totally see it being another top 40, possibly top 30/20 if the Barbz play along and buy it on iTunes. The video has loads of potential, as well as the live performances, so it'll be interesting to see how it does in the long run.
It loses a bit of its steam towards the middle, and I wish Nicki had a second verse because, honestly, she's the highlight of the record for me, but yeah.

Maybe, although Started From the Bottom and Love Me both were top 10 earlier this year with no pop support, and they had their digital release straight-away and their music videos not long after digital release I think (and Pour It Up got top 20 without any music video at all), so I think there is potential for it to happen.

Look who you're referring to, Drake & Rihanna. Two HUGE radio names.

Yeah. I'm obviously not expecting Ciara's next single to do as well as those, but I meant that urban songs can be big hits on the Hot 100 without pop support now. I don't think they need to be repressed (although I don't mind that I'm Out is having its release held back a bit, as it could benefit it).
