01. Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D.
Now we've finally reached my #01 album for the year 2009, and some of you have the right guess that the Black Eyed Peas' album for The E.N.D. is my top choice. This record is my most anticipated album this year, and the Black Eyed Peas did an incredible job coming up with this non-stop dance album. That's right, like what the members of the group describe the meaning of The E.N.D. which stands for 'The Energy Never Dies', this album is filled with heavy party-all-night dance tune . The smash hit first single
Boom Boom Pow become one of my instant favorite and I got addicted listening to it. The popularity does not stop there. In fact, it is the follow up David Guetta produced single
I Gotta Feeling made me even love listening to this record. This song is pure party-all-night perfection, makes you smile and leave your worries behind and just go to a club and dance.
Rock That Body is a much insane track on the album. I personally can't stop jamming to this beat especially the chipmunk-like voice doing the chorus. Before this record got released, three promotional singles will released;
I'mma Be,
Alive and the third single
Meet Me Halfway which shows a mellow yet still upbeat track. Female front Fergie also owns a couple of tracks on this record which can be heard from
Missing You and
Out Of My Head. The jamming does not end with the tracks like
Ring-A-Ling,
Party All The Time,
Electric City,
Showdown and
New Generation. The album ends with the pop-reggae people anthem
One Tribe and
Rockin' To The Beat, the track which has a beat that resembles the epic Billie Jean by the legendary Michael Jackson. All the tracks are all consistent in putting up a great party. Hands down to the Black Eyed Peas for having a great comeback and coming back strong with The E.N.D. Let's see if the fun continues on Will.I.Am, Apl.de.Ap., Taboo and Fergie next year!
