I can't tell if this thread has descended into parody yet.
Anyway, the answer is no - but just about. At the moment, she's still got some kind of advantage on the cultural barometer over Beyoncé because: 1. She influenced Beyoncé amongst others, and 2. Her name, longevity and classic records.
However, it's pretty clear to me since the reaction to Beyoncé's album and Superbowl performance last year that her cultural stock is rising rapidly, while Janet's is lessening every year since the Superbowl - though it does look like people are getting over that, from what I gathered of the largely sympathetic and supportive ''10 Years Later...'' articles written earlier this year.
So I don't know, to be honest. Hopefully Janet will do something to change some minds about her - it doesn't particularly have to be mass commercial success again (she's done with that) but some kind of legacy-affirming project that'll get people on her side again and promote her as a ''Legend''.
