Solaris
[IMG][/IMG] Collin ▲ Did YSL ▲ Not DripDrip ▲ Submit
Well, both of y'all are banned, so it shouldn't be TOO much trouble Solaris actually requested a permaban and thereby was inevitably going to be kicked out but I let it be an elimination anyways I'm sad you had to leave at such a bad time, was looking forward to you being there this season! Ah, well... as for John, I'm sorry you had to be punted out this early-on, it just had to happen to someone and you happened to be that vulnerable one this round
Well, everyone else - stay tuned! I'll post highlights / averages momentarily, next round to follow soon
A T R L ' s H O L Y T R I N I T Y Highlights: Round Three
Solopop
The Righteous Brothers ▲ Unchained Melody Lily Allen ▲ Not Fair Tina Turner ▲ River Deep, Mountain High
Making a glorious comeback from last round's Flop Trinity, underdog Solopop threw together
quite the timeless and respectable trinity of sexual jams... almost Jammed in the middle of two
songs with familiar melodies you would've never quite guessed to be sexual, is the filter-less princes of
brat pop, Lily Allen, crooning over a lover that sucks in bed. Quite the array of songs and one of the more
original, crafty and interesting trinities of this game thus far!

Not necessarily the first song I thought of but the one that just stuck with me. Maybe it's the connotations from Ghost or that feeling of needing the one that you love to me, this song just screams desire and the need to love.
Not Fair|Lily Allen
This song is all about sex and how a guy can be so nice but such a dud root. It's all about how important it is to make sure that in a relationship both sides are being pleasured.
River Deep Mountain High| Tina Turner
I don't know why but to me Tina is just raw sex and passion. I doubt she was singing about Ike in this song, but if she was, she sold me. This song is about loving a person and feeling it grow and then struggling to be without them. While it may not be all SEX SEX SEX the way Tina sings is just with raw passion and desire and is why to me it screams sex.
Astraeius
Dexy's Midnight Runners ▲ Come On Eileen Florence + the Machine ▲ Bedroom Hymns Lana Del Rey ▲ Off to the Races
Also joining the Golden Trinity for his first time, Astraeius provided us with a surprisingly
sexy trinity, progressing in risque nature with each track. The first song, one familiar in tune that we maybe
never really knew the title of, sneaks in innuendo quite respectably in a tale of maturity. Next comes
an artist no one would've expected to have such a sensual track, Florence Welch, exploring a well-done
risque facet to her artistry. And last but not least, Lana Del Rey, radiating her sexuality as per usual.
This alternative-based trinity puts sexuality into a less raunchy perspective.

Come On Eileen By Dexy's Midnight Runners
I liked how this song explores sex through the perspective of a teenager who has come to recognize his friend 'Eileen' no longer as a child but as a grown woman. Repeated references to his sexual thoughts of her as well as his desires for her to undress perfectly portray sex through the eyes of a teenager undergoing puberty.
Bedroom Hymns By Florence + The Machine
Unlike the previous song, this song explores sex by combining religious imagery with sexual innuendos- for example, she mentions how she is on her knees (can describe both a woman in prayer or one engaged in a sexual act). Comparisons between the man she is having sex with to Jesus ("this is his body, this is his love") along with other examples of juxtaposition of sex and christianity all help to portray the act of sex as an act of religious spirituality.
Off to the Races By Lana Del Ray
Unlike the first two songs, this song explores sex by quoting the book 'Lolita' (otherwise known as the original 50 Shades of Grey) and mirroring its graphic presentation of sex through its lyrics. As the song progresses to the chorus the lyrics go: "Light of my life, fire of my loins", which is actually the opening words to the book 'Lolita', which is widely regarded as one of the most controversial novels of the 20th century due to its highly sexually explicit content. For anyone who's read the book its obvious that this song is basically a soundtrack to it.
Sebas
Madonna ▲ Erotica Rihanna ▲ Skin Britney Spears ▲ 3
Veteran trinity player Sebas joins the Golden Trinity ranking this week as well, with the cookie
cutter female popstar sexual trinity - and boy, did he execute it well! Taking a chapter from Madonna's
sex-ridden era with Erotica, Rihanna's inescapable sensual lair with Skin and, lastly, princess of sexy pop
music, Britney, with an appropriately-chosen "3", to round off a trinity. Whether you're down to get freaky, get
slow and sensual or get kinky with an extra player, you've got it all with this trinity.
In this song, we can hear Dita [ Madonna's raunchy alter-ego]
singing in a very sexy way about her sexual fantasies
(that include dominant/submissive relationships/sadomasochism)
In this song, we can hear Rihanna desperately desiring sex.
She let her lover know that it's the right moment and that she's
ready for the fun to start.
In this song, we can hear Britney singing about threesomes,
and how "living in sin it's the new thing." I want to use this
song to represent how nowadays people are more open
about their sexuality and are willing to experience new things
