Hmm.. Thus far her hip-hop songs have done better. Anaconda, Only and Truffle Butter outperformed pop leaning songs (with rap choruses, albeit) Pills N Potions and Bed of Lies.

Swift stopping at four songs is not true, at least not since she started hitting at Top 40 radio. She released seven songs off of Red, and would've released eight (a fourth Country track) had she not held off on releasing a song to Country while her duet with Tim McGraw was out. This inactivity at the format during that duet caused Red to sell less than Speak Now.

Swift released one song to both formats, three songs to Country, and three songs to Pop. If 1989 is going strong, she won't stop at four songs, since the last song (which went to Country) was on the charts just a few months before 1989's release. I can easily see Swift going seven or even eight songs deep as long as 1989 is still selling well.

So she hasn't put out a true pop song like TNISY that could get her that 4x platinum song.
Bang bang shouldn't be the highest certified song when it's not even on the album and I'd much prefer her have more smashes without features or anaconda ish controversy.
We have 2015 to see how it plays out.

time of the year doesn't matter when it comes to surprise albums by big names. had he released in december, or bey in feb, their numbers would probably be the same.

"big itunes campagin" ? lol, so were there billboards by itunes, tv commercials by itunes, newspaper/portal adds by itunes? no, it was advertised only on their web page/programm because it was ITUNES ONLY exclusively. was drake itunes only? #tea

not to mention drake is the most popular rapper at the moment with 5-6 years of career where beyonce was 16 years deep and many of you h8rs expected her to flop and not reach even her 4 opening sales.

Probably the funniest drag I've seen all month. Not Shania! While to most pop fans she seems ancient while Bey, ha albums, were slaying along with hers at the same time.
