I don't know what she was thinking not releasing the second video. There must have been something that happened behind the scenes. She should have released it the same day as the album release, it would have pushed this to an even higher peak and might have spurred the extra album sales and TEA's/SEA's needed for that #1 on the BB200.
The only other major market this went top ten in. This song was local (although it didn't completely flop on a worldwide scale - it just wasn't nearly as big in the rest of the word as it was in the US/Canada), but again, I am shocked at how well it did nonetheless. It never did scream smash to me, but I've learned to appreciate its success. I still think Into You or a stronger song should have relaunched the era though.
Even though it's hella late, I'd like to see what would happen if she released the second video. She should do that this Friday to be honest. It's not too late Ariana!
