I mean tbh, Athens and Joseph need to just let someone own the site. They're straight white men who are like 30, and clearly have no connection and interest to this Pop Forum in 2015. The only thing keeping them coming back is the fact it has so many problems, and they actually communicate like 2x per year.

Not even give up the 'ownership' or whatever, but it really makes NO TYPE of sense Kworb isn't an administrator. He's been a member for over a decade, is one of the most popular posters, knows how to code himself, RUNS HIS OWN SITE, and is a moderator yet doesn't have any ability to disable guest and such. Where is the logic?

Ugh, he must get so mad @ the fact they log-in, look him in the face, and don't make him Admin. Bless him.

Maybe when the server upgrade is released they'll be able to give more administrator capabilities to the moderation team. It might have new features which would be helpful.

& getting mad @ us complaining isn't gonna stop it again one we're ferociously bombarded with advertisements on mobile, and the server is once again crashing.

Okay, so some time ago, there was a poll made by the admins stating that we could either wait for the full-fledged new server, of switch to a stable server albeit it would be a minor downgrade to the forum. Why can't we do that? The latter option won, anyway.

I believe it's because we switched to IPS, right?

Either way, there has to be something we can do. I do not buy it for one second that we are forced to stay here with this server.

Yes, it's because VB5 turned out to be **** and plans were shifted to IPB (precluding us from the VB4 transitional period). That, and also the fact that the latter option only gained a lead months in advance after everyone realized that the waiting option was stupid as hell.

What's the status of IPB tho? I visited their site and there already seems to be some beta testing of the product

They're in Beta 7. They could potentially have a candidate release in literally a few days to a week or so if all goes well and I wouldn't be incredibly surprised to see an initial full release in February.
