Janet will have to promote like it is 1986 A 5 year break is like a 10 year hiatus nowadays She can do well if everything is right (the videos, the look, the promotion, THE MUSIC). She appeals to different demographics, so she can crossover (to white people) with the right stuff lol

Janet would have to promote even harder, to reach higher than 2008. I think she can do well. She hasn't aged significantly, and I noticed that if you at least maintain an ounce of youth, the mainstream youth will somewhat accept you.
Besides, she's been sampled multiple times from 2011-2013 so she's having a slight resurgence.
