I thought it was the other way around. Like, the less demand, the less they order, so the more they have to price it to make decent profit.
Usually I find that true with the CDs I buy. FROOT costed me $15 and obviously it isn't popular. On the other side, ARTPOP costed me $12 when it came out, not discounted, and Gaga is a big name in pop.
