The only trinities you could call 'invalid' are those that don't include Daydream & Butterfly since the majority of the fanbase & Mariah would place those two at the top of her discog.

If I've not heard an artists discography I tend to go for their greatest hits first. Otherwise go from her debut onwards. Daydream and Butterfly are usually heralded as her best albums (in general). I hope you like what you listen to.
