Literally the first words you can hear are: "I only date black guys".
"I could only marry a black man", "I couldn't see another man raising my kids besides a black man", "I wouldn't fall in love with a white guy", "black ass daddy"... those are all strong statements that can be taken as racism so I don't think Lauren was out of line asking her if she was being racist, especially considering there are white and latin people in the van with her.

Lauren asks her "have you dated out your race", Jela says yes. And Jela's reasoning why was valid. Theres just certain things a black man can teach her child that a white man coulnd't Jela is Black grew up with a black father and probably wants her family to brought up how she was. That's not racist to say say she wouldn't fall in love with a white guy because that's her preference.

this is true. and i can understand Jela's points because it takes a black person to raise a black child and educate them on the realities of being black in the world we live in today. Jela just had poor choice in words. she wasn't saying she'd NEVER date outside her race because as she said, she has before. i think she just meant at the end of the day, she'd marry a black man because there's certain things only black people will get (i.e anti-black racism) and be able to educate their children on. I understand where Lauren came from too lol this is the epitome of a petty argument over poor choice of words

Smh, the Twins should be there if anything. Why waste the hype of having Twins on BGC again? I hope Jela kicks ass at the reunion by herself. She better pull a Mehgan and beat Jass,Lauren, and Jenna's ass all by herself.

Yassss same. I feel like I would get along well with both of them to be honest. Jenna reminds me of a lot of my friends because I'm from NY, and I love Jela's personality.
