I think I like 'Electra Heart' more than 'The Family Jewels'... but I do like Dr. Luke's productions (obviously, I stan Ke$ha and Katy) and I heard that album first. Such a great album. But I do really like TFJ, too. "Mowgli's Road", "Hermit The Frog" and "Oh No!" still slay me.
I love Electra Heart more than The Family Jewels, Oh No!, Mowgli's Road, Rootless and Hollywood are great tracks but I truly love most of Electra Heart, especially the more upbeat songs like Radioactive, Power & Control, How To Be A Heartbreaker, Lonely Hearts Club, Living Dead and the full EDM masterpiece "Electra Heart" (song). I'm waiting for her next album
I always prefered EH over TFJ. But lately I've noticed how underrated some songs on TFJ are. Like I used to dislike Obsessions and Mowgli's Road but I've seen the light.
EH will stay my favorite album though. Living Dead, Radioactive, Valley Of The Dolls, Buy The Stars etc. >>
I listened to The Family Jewels again the other night and damn, some of the songs still give me shivers.
The album is pretty much an ode to my high school years, I feel a strong connection to that album.
From there, you should be hooked. Buy both albums. Binge for a month. Detox with another artist for all of one day, only to realize you want more Marina. Lather, rinse, repeat, stan.
Hopefully we'll get new music at the beginning of 2014.
