Nah - generally I think acts plan and musically arrange the show the year before, then hit the ground running and practically do 9-5 rehearsals all throughout January.
To some of the above posters; it's one thing to do sit and complain about someone's performance
after they've done it, but another thing to stress and indulge in grumbling weeks before it's occurred. All will be fine! If not, at least save the mental energy until a later date.
I can foresee her shaking things up and not doing the Halftime in a traditional way. I don't mean that she'll forever change the game or
innovate or anything, but that she'll treat it differently to other acts. Most see it as a fast-paced, hit-bumping, choreographed pop extravaganza but I kind of sense that she'll....interpret the stage and performance differently.
It'll be one of those 'change your expectation' performances I reckon. Not in the sense that we have to all go "mmmm that was absolutely terrible, should've lowered our expectations" - but in terms of like "woah...didn't see that coming". It could be in a 'Sound of Music at the Oscars' sense, I don't think any of us imagined that'd happen, even on the day. I just know that, historically, we've often been surprised because she's flipped things on their head (I'm lost to think of any examples right now, though). I feel like something's brewing that will hit us over the head a little bit.
