Kacey Musgraves is the definition of a non event. Thank to her gay co-writer/co-producer, she's having a great career so far.

Yeah, The Black Keys seem to be more Grammy fodder than Arcade Fire.

And to Kworb,
Random Access Memories was pretty dead by time the nominations came around and had only sold a measly 600k before being considered, so Beyonce still has a huge chance at being remembered. The committee isn't that forgetful. As long as Bey makes the top 20, she'll be fine. Can't really see a Justin Timberlake situation at this point since last year was a lot more competitive than this year.

Country legend Vince Gill produced it and did back up vocals. It's a better song than any country single from Blown Away, Four The Record or Red, except for Begin Again and maybe Blown Away.

I'm not mad that she got that Grammy over Taylor even though RED was the better album.

STDP was the better country album though.

Otherwise, it's just a conversation. This is why people like Beyst deserve all their credit.

It's more than lyrics.
Taylor, Adele and Gaga, for example, write lyrics AND melodies, which makes me enjoy their music a bit more.
Lorde, though, writes lyrics over the melody the producer wrote, and it's still very enjoyable.
Taylor will sometimes let hit producers write lyrics for her, in order to achieve a catchier song. (As in WANEGBT and IKYWT)
People like Katy, Rihanna and Beyst don't write anything, as long as I'm aware.

Has anyone listened to Betty Who's EP?
I wish she would get nominated.

Make lots of noise
Kiss lots of boys
Or kiss lots of girls
If that's something you're into
When the straight and narrow
Gets a little too straight
Roll up a joint, or don't
Just follow your arrow
Wherever it points, yeah
Follow your arrow
Wherever it points

The Gays are really so talented, one being the Lord herself.

The committee isn't nominating The New Classic or Oxymoron.

Katy writes lyrics, and sometimes melodies.
Her niche is songwriting and vocal arrangement though.

Yes, sounds like the committee will finally get with it this era. If so, they should give Dan a producer of the year nomination as well, because both albums are pretty solid.
