The 118.5M number was an average for 30 minutes (8:30-9pm) but the 12 minutes of the actual Halftime performance had 121.5M viewers (according to the film).

To be honest it's probably relatively slim considering the huge effort they're putting in with it being the 50th. However...

-If it is broken, people can't brag thanks to the MANY threads already made saying that 'pop stars have no impact on viewership!!!"
-If it is broken, Katy will still have 2nd most viewed
-It should be broken as its the 50th this year
-If it isn't broken, then

Katy's halftime show is the best ever, no matter how hard anyone tries to prove otherwise.

As good as a performer Beyoncé is, she would never top Katy's performance even if she headlined it 10x more times. Why? Because she lack the inagination, creativity and vision to do it. Her amazing performing skills are spectacular for the Grammys, for the X-Factor finale, but they're not enough for the halftime show.

I don't see anyone outdoing Katy's performance in the next 10 years.
