I don't think moviegoers know how bad the reviews and the movie is.
I see a big opening week, but it won't have legs much like BvS.
The reception has been good amongst movie goers though and the reviews are much better than BvS. I think it being the 4th major superhero this year has impacted the reviews.
It was much better than Civil War but could've still been better overall. I actually thought the Apocalypse arc in X-Men: Evolution was better, don't @ me

Also, Fassbender and McAvoy always deliver. I want this to be a box office success for them, but the mixed reviews are mostly deserved.

The original trilogy has such an award winning cast and everyone was there for it even if it was for a 2 seconds scene...
