I'm all for her moving on, but Dressin' Up is too good to be ignored. POM was less than desirable because it's something Katy has already done (and done better), but Dressin' Up is new for her. The closest her previous singles have come to it is E.T. (and even that's a stretch), a song that ATRL seems to think is her best.
Dressin' Up is very memorable. It could help her transition into more mature material. It needs a video. If it catches on, it could be huge.
Also, don't we essentially know at this point that Wide Awake will be released as a single to promote her movie? She's said it was written for it and she has a music video in mind.

Always been like this. Those #s are points. It obviously isn't the most accurate since they don't/can't count every country, but they count the most important markets. It's the most reliable thing we have for WW and no doubt you've referred to it before. |
Exactly there's no point in using it an arguement. I much rather just go by certification. No, I've never used MT for singles.
