Go suck a dick, f‘ggot. No one wants you to start **** in this thread, so get lost.
No one cares about Alternative...wow. You're really f‘cking dumb, or just blind enough to not see the numbers on that chart. Why does everyone always view it then? Not just me either, so don't even try that repetitive number again.
And, you know nothing about good music. Your signature is a prime example of this.

You know, if you were being serious, i'd think you were really ignorant right about now.
DOA and Question! are both now in the Top 10 and both are at least +150 in gains. Yay.

Froggert just has his panties in a bunch. Wait, that's all the time, especially when someone disses the almighty Britney Spears.

It's not that nobody cares about it, but its impact is pretty minimal on overall audience reach these days. Rock following has really declined.

Yeah, cause rock music is getting even worse than it was. Green Day, MCR, The Killers, 311, Fall Out Boy, the list of lackluster bands goes on and on. No wonder most rock fans turn off the radio and choose themselves what they want to listen to.

This and Nick's post are right on but lets leave out the Killers next time, they're one of the very few good things going for rock lately lol.

Froggert should take advice from you on how to conduct an INTELLIGENT response. Thank you, Nick, for not sounding like a dumbass who doesn't know what he's talking about (Froggert.)

Opinion.
And what the hell does 311 have to do with any of those bands? They are pretty damn original and great at what they do, I honestly don't see how their music is bland.

See, Nick's point is actually valid because it is true that audience impressions are minimal in comparison to CHR and Rhythmic.
You're just lashing out at artists you don't like.
I could argue that Japanese Pop is getting even worse because I don't like Utada, Ayuma, etc.
But it's not necessairly true, is it?
The new wave of rock, The Killers, MCR, Fall Out Boy, etc, is good for what it is. It's solid music right now. And if they don't have a durable career, oh well, they provided some fun while they were around. As if there won't be a new crop next year. But to just up and assume that they aren't durable, that one of these bands won't be able to put out another hit album, that they're 'lackluster', that in turn is ignorance.
- - And what about Coldplay, System Of A Down, Weezer, Gorillaz? I mean, rock seems in fighting form to me.

I've only presented a theory that explains the lack of audience on the Alternative format, that it's the bad music played on it. They're sick of the bands that don't belong there, but on Pop.

You know, I think I understand what Kworb is talking about.
Bands like Staind, Green Day, MCR, The Killers, Fall Out Boy and especially Three Doors Down and Nickelback, etc..those are not ROCK bands, as much as some people may say otherwise. MCR and, I suppose, Staind are probably the closest to rock among that bunch and, even then, their sound can be marketed to the pop fans.
On the other hand, bands like Weezer, System Of A Down, Nine Inch Nails, Audioslave, etc..those are actual rock bands and deserve to be considered as such and to be played on rock radio.
I can see Kworb's point. He wasn't just saying that bad music is making the alternative format seem like it's dying, but that music that is really POP music is being played on there now and every alternative radio station expects the average rock fan to just cave in when, in effect, not EVERY rock fan does.

Yeah I think I mis-interpreted him.
But the fact is that bands like Fall Out Boy, and The Killers, do quite well in Callout Radio Research (go to All Access if you wanna see), so regardless of their "rock" nature or not, the listeners of alternative radio seem to enjoy what they hear.

As long as Korn is doing good on Alternative along with nine inch nails and 311, I'm fine.

The race for the next #1 on CHR is huge right now.
'Shake It Off' - #1 - 8462 spins (+328)
'Because Of You' - #3 - 6166 spins (+1332)
'Gold Digger' - #6 - 5579 spins (+1901)
'Wake Me Up When September Ends' - #7 - 5571 spins (+851)
'My Humps' - #8 - 5060 spins (+822)
Mariah still has a commanding 2300 spin lead over the next possible contender, which pretty much gives her another two weeks at #1.

Holy Crap...at this rate it looks as though Mariah will never get #1 on Billboard then?
