The Hot 100 was a mess from 2000-2004. Labels wouldn't release singles to boost album sales and then single sales died and Urban airplay completely dominated the chart.

The CLASSIC "Beautiful" being blocked by "Bump Bump Bump". Although I did bop to the latter, lol.

Was "Beautiful" really "blocked," though? It spent just a week @ #2.

To me, a "block" is more like someone being stuck at #2 for multiple weeks without hitting #1.
