ok so, a woman has the choice herself to wear a hijab if she wants to and some of it is rooted in her religion, but isn't the religion part of it still problematic considering that the religion is based in patriarchal values? for example in the US/western world at one point women could only wear dresses to their ankles as part of their religion but no one would really argue that we should revert back to that ideal, not even some(most??) religious/christian people.
I agree, organized religion is evil and should be banned, starting with Christianity. Catholicism in particular.
Much better than the 5ilth on Beysic, Prism or Artflop tbh.
LMAO. I don't know if you guys are joking half the time.
Do you listen to music outside of the main pop girls? Work Bitch is the most bland, generic, rehashed, mess that hit radio last year. I still can't believe Britney came back with THAT.
It just isn't our place to tell other people how to worship. Or to categorize/brand someone's personal religious choice as something derogatory using our societal standards.
I remember going back and forth with my Arabic teacher about how her insisting to wear a hijab was sexist or whatever. I guess for some reason I thought she couldn't see what was "wrong" or what the "problem" with her religion was. And she would always just tell me that it wasn't Americans' place to dictate how people of other cultures/religions/backgrounds choose to express their faith.
Looking back on it, I'm @ how long it took me to understand that.
And this all comes back to humanity's obsession with justifying behaviors that are unethical and unfair because it happens to be part of an organized religion
The Hive-nots will drag the Rihtard fans if (when?) Beysic gets a top 10 hit this era. Too bad it will come after a a bland, lip-sync performance with no choreography.

I thought as a woman, these things should bother you, they shouldn't mean so much; you're being oppressed. And she would always just tell me that it wasn't Americans' place to dictate how people of other cultures/religions/backgrounds choose to express their faith.

You know I started to think about that.
One of the main think that they teach in history about Slavery & Native Americans
Is that they were stripped of everything that made them who they are including their religions and forced into another.
Yet people always seem to gloss over that and pay it no attention.
So honestly what makes Christianity so "correct" and their religion so "wrong"
Stuff like that makes me question things.
lol no I aint got there either.
I think my school was an extension of St Marys or Sacred Heart whatever.
My parents tried to send me to Briarcrest like bitch plea.
Am geigh. They ain't gone suppress ME. Teach me their wicked Chrstun ways.
How did you do it gurr how you make it?
